A New Dauntless Legend

Chapter 1

We just finished my second initiation to lead. This one was a little better then last years initiation.

The initiates just picked their jobs and apartments. Now Raylan, Madison, Taren, and I have a while until the next initiation.

All of us are sitting at our usual table. I look over and I see Urina and Wade holding hands and acting like love birds.

About seven months ago Wade asked Urina out. Ever since then they've been together. They make a nice couple. Let's just say Urina was very excited when Wade asked her out.

"Okay, Candor or Dauntless, our apartment, tonight at 6:00 pm." Shawn says

All the girls and Taren agree to go over. Taren decided not to move into the guys apartment.

I need to remember to wear extra layers for this game. It can get pretty stupid.

We all head to our apartment.

We have about ten minutes before we need to head over. I run up to my room so I can put on an extra layer or two.

I'm wearing a black cami, a black, short sleeve shirt, black, running shorts, and black leggings over my running shorts. I also put on my black, leather vest, a black infinity scarf, and my usual black, combat boots.

I know it sounds like I'm wearing a lot, but you have to be prepared. Especially when playing with Zander.

We head over to the guys apartment, which is across the hall.

"About time you girls got here!" Zander says

"We got here exactly at 6:00 pm." I explain.

Zander looks down at his watch with a confused look.

"Huh." He says "Then my watch is thirty minutes late...wait a minute! Shawn!"

We burst into laughter. Shawn has been pulling that prank on Zander a little bit after he started wearing watches. So Shawn has been doing that to Zander since right after our initiation.

We go inside and I see all the guys. Taren got here a few minutes early.

"Okay, let's get started." Zander says "Rules are simple. Someone asks you Candor or Dauntless. If you say Candor, you have to tell the truth for what ever they ask you. If you choose Dauntless, you have to do a dare that the person gives you. If you choose to not do the dare or tell the truth, than you have to take off one piece of clothing that is on you. Shoes and socks do not count!"

We all get in a circle. I sit next to Taren. Raylan is right across from me next to Madison. Urina and Wade are right next to each other. And everyone else is in between.

"I will start." Zander says "ummm...Madison, Candor or Dauntless?"

"Candor." Madison chooses.

"Have you ever really liked a guy more then Raylan?" Zander asks

We all look at her. I know Raylan and Madison have a good relationship, but I don't know how my big brother will take this one if she says she has.

"No I have not. Yes I have liked other guys, but I have only really loved Raylan." She says giving him a kiss on the cheek.

All the girls say "awwwww" once Madison says that.

"Moving on!" Shawn almost yells. "Madison your turn."

"Okay, ummm...Taren, Candor or Dauntless?" She asks

"Dauntless." He says off the bat.

Taren isn't afraid off of a challenge.

"I dare you to go into a store and buy a box of poise pads." Madison dares.

"Alright." He says.

Madison and I go as witnesses.

We walk through out the compound until we get to the Pire. Madison and I wait outside the store while Taren goes in. We both start laughing once he gets to the check out. Taren gets a weird look from the check out lady.

Madison and I are about to die of laughter when Taren comes out with the box of poise pads.

When we get back to the apartment we tell the others what happened. Then we all, including Taren, start laughing.

"Okay, Taylor, Candor or Dauntless?" Taren asks me.

"Ummm...Dauntless." I say

"I dare you to go to the Pit and sing." He says

"Taren, you know I don't like all eyes on me. No it's not one of my fear, but I still don't like all eyes on me. I get very uncomfortable." I explain.

I take off my scarf and call it good.

"Hey, that's not adequate for a piece of clothing." Raylan says

"Zander didn't say you couldn't take a scarf off. He only said you that socks and shoes don't count." I re-explain

Raylan gives me a look that reads, 'really?'.

"Love you." I say in an innocent tone.

"Uh huh." He says

I know he's joking when he says that. We have a fun relationship when it comes to things like this.

The rest of the night is full of laughter, dares, people telling the truth, and some people taking off there jackets. Thankfully we all wore a jacket or vest.

We haven't had a lot of time to do Candor or Dauntless. This was so much fun.
