"Yes, Tori." I say cautiously.
"I have the news you've been waiting for." Tori says
Please be something good. I'm worrying so much I feel like my heart is going to beat out of my chest.
"They didn't hack in." Tori says whispering "They didn't find out about your...you know what."
"Oh thank goodness!" I say with relief.
"I will let you get back to your friends and initiates." She says and walks away.
I walk back over to my friends and sit down.
"Did she tell you what happened?" Raylan asks once I sit down.
"Yes, she did tell me what happened." I say
They all just look at me.
"Well?!" They all say in unison.
"Oh right, you all wanted to know." I say jokingly "Erudite didn't hack in. I'm free to go outside again."
They all cheer for the news and Taren puts an arm around me.
"Now initiation shouldn't be that hard to deal with." Taren says
"Be careful, you might jinx it." I say jokingly.
We spend some more time talking and eating when Tori goes up on the ledge to give the normal beginning of initiation speech.
Once that is done and it has calmed down Taren, Raylan, Madison, and I let the initiates know that they have the rest of the day to do what they want.
The next day Taren and I meet up at the door to the transfers dorm. We always seem to have fun with initiation. We walk in to wake up the initiates. Taren grabs the small, metal pipe that is hidden against the wall, and bangs it on the railing of the steps that we are on.
Everyone's eyes shoot open and look at us. They look tired, in shock, and mad.
"Everyone in the Pit, five minutes." I say
Taren and I walk out of the dorm and head to the Pit. When Taren and I get to the Pit the Dauntless borns are already there. I see one of the Dauntless born walking backwards and us about to bump into me. I stop and then she throws her arms out, slapping across the face with her left hand. She automatically turns to me and looks worried.
I look at her and she looks like Peter in some ways. In other ways she doesn't.
"I am so sorry, Five." Olivia, I think it is, says.
"It's fine, it was an accident." I say
Once the initiates get here we go over the same thing as we do every year: rankings, stages, the cuts, etc.
We head to the training room. Taren and I show the initiates some of the basics for fighting. Once they get those down we move on to some of the other moves. It's been several hours and we finish up with training for the day.
After dinner, there is a party for. The party isn't for anything, it's just a fun thing someone decided to do and invited all of Dauntless. It's a nicer party so of course the girls had to go...dress shopping.
I ended up getting a black, knee length, chiffon, sweetheart neckline dress. On the top of the dress, Kristen calls it, an illusion because it's a sheer material and has crystals on top of it. The dress ask has a line of crystals on the waist. The girls also decided to get shoes. I got black, wedges with thicker straps.
All the girls are getting ready at the apartment. We are in the big bathroom downstairs doing hair and makeup. Kristen curls my hair than puts it in a braid wrap. Urina agrees to put on some natural makeup. She usually refuses. I usually don't where makeup either, but Kristen insists to put on some mascara. Once we are ready we meet the guys outside out apartment and head to the Pit for the party.
I'm with Taren, Raylan and Madison are together, Urina and Wade are together, Lindsay and Shawn are together, and Zander asked Kristen so they are together.
Once we get to the Pit, everyone is here talking or dancing. Even all the initiates are here.
After about an hour of dancing and talking I try to find Urina. I haven't gotten a chance to talk with her about how her relationship with Wade is going. Plus she wanted some relationship advice from me. I find her and walk up to her. I still can't believe she agreed to wear makeup. I get to her side and a few guys walk by us.
"Even with makeup, you're still not pretty." One of the guys says to Urina.
"Hey!" I say loudly to them "You don't talk to my friend like that."
The blow it off and walk away. I look at Urina and she is starting to cry. I embrace her in a hug and try to comfort her.
