It's been a week and I haven't heard anything regarding Erudite hacking in. Taren, Raylan, Madison, and I are waiting by the net for the initiates. We are sticking with what we have done for the past two years, Taren and I do transfers and Raylan and Madison do Dauntless born.
About ten minutes pass by when we hear and see Eric up on the ledge. Oh how I wish he would fall down and miss the net. Sadly, that probably will never happen.
A few seconds later I see a red and yellow blur. Amity. Wow. It doesn't normally happen where an Amity jumps first.
I reach up so the person can grab my hand. I help the person down and see that the Amity is a boy.
"What's your name?" I ask
"Wyatt." He says confidently.
It's good that he sounds confident.
"First-Jumper, Wyatt!" I yell for everyone to hear.
I hear a few cheers and he moves to the side. After a few minutes all the initiates are down here. We have two more Dauntless borns than we do transfers.
The Dauntless born consist of:
Olivia
Jason
Erin
William
Henry
Hunter
Scarlet
Nolan
Sydney
Five guys and four girls. That should be more than enough girls to balance out the Dauntless male testosterone.
The Transfers consist of:
Robert, Candor
Carter, Abnegation
Hannah, Candor
Benjamin, Amity
Ella, Erudite
Wyatt, Amity
John, Erudite
Three girls and four guys. This should be a rather interesting year, considering we only have sixteen initiates total. Six of them will have to leave.
"Dauntless born, you'll go with Raylan and Madison." Taren says gesturing in their direction "Transfers, you'll stay with us. My name is Taren and this is Five."
"Five like the number?" Ella, the Erudite girl, questions.
Here we go again. I move closer to her. Yes, she has a few inches on my, but she doesn't scare me.
"Exactly like the number." I say "Now I recommend you shut your mouth."
She takes a small step back and lowers her head a bit. I walk back over to Taren's side. We start to lead them into the Dauntless compound.
We show them the pit first, then the training room, the chasm, where the cafeteria is, and finally the dorms. The dorms where they will all be sleeping.
After we tell them to get changed and meet us in the cafeteria in ten minutes, Taren and I head to the cafeteria.
"You know I love it when you do that at the beginning of, so far, every initiation." Taren says slightly laughing while saying it "I have to hold in the laughter at times."
"You laughing at me Oakley?" I question in a joking matter.
He puts his hands up in surrender and laughs a little bit while doing it.
"Not laughing at you, I'm laughing at what you do and what the initiates do." He says
I give him a playful punch in the arm.
We walk to the cafeteria hand in hand. Once we get there the gang is all seated at our usual table.
"So I take it you did your normal initiation ritual with one of the initiates?" Kristen asks
Is it sad that they even have to ask that now?
"Really? Now what makes you think I did that?" I ask giving her a look.
They all just stare at me with a look that reads, seriously.
"Fine! Yes, I did. But I only do it because that one initiate always pushes." I say
We spend about twenty more minutes talking when Tori comes in and walks up to me. Oh gosh. I have a feeling she is going to tell me if Erudite hacked in or not.
I stand up.
"Yes, Tori." I say cautiously.
"I have the news you've been waiting for." Tori says
