The first stage of initiation is done. We are in the second stage: Emotional. Benjamin, one of the Amity transfers, and Hannah, one of the Candor transfers, were cut. Since there were sixteen initiates total, we figured two would get cut from each stage.
Right now I'm in a white room with a computer, serums, a chair for me, and a chair for the initiate. Right now I'm with Carter, the only Abnegation transfer this year. I'm watching her fear. She is in an open field with tall, green grass that goes up to her knee. Carter is about 5'5, red hair that goes to just under her bra strap, green eyes, and pale skin.
She seems calm, but than she jumps back, screaming. I see something. I snake that looks like a king cobra. The snake is attacking her and biting her ankles. She screams in pain, then another snake comes up, a rattle snake, and does the same thing. In a few seconds a bunch of king cobras and rattle snakes are attacking her and biting her. She is on the ground screaming, jerking, and crying out in pain, then I see something appear in her hand. A knife. She starts batting the snakes off of her and stabbing the snakes. She goes for the head of each one. A little while later all the snakes are dead.
She comes out of the serum gasping for air and screaming.
"Hey hey hey," I say getting up from my chair to comfort her "you're fine. You're okay."
She calms her breathing, puts her elbows on her knees, and puts her head in her hands.
"That was horrible." She says
"Facing your fears usually is." I say "How long do you think you were in the serum?"
"I don't know...thirty minutes?" She questions
"Five, that's quicker than the average." I say
There is a few seconds of silents.
"What were your aptitude test results?" I ask
I already know what she is. I need to help her with this. If she doesn't learn to control it, she could end up dead.
"I'm not allowed to say." She says
"You're safe in here. Trust me, no one can hear us. Even with there ear to the door they wouldn't be able to hear." I say trying to get her to tell me.
She takes a breath.
"Abnegation." She says
"Obviously you didn't get Candor for your result." I say "What was your result?"
"Abnegation." She says
There's always that one initiate that this happens. I will find out eventually.
"You're free to go." I say
She leaves the room and I get the serum ready for the next initiate.
A normal person wouldn't be able to have something appear that wasn't their fear. I can make things appear, I can glitch the system, my mom can do the same thing. I know what she is. She is Divergent.
