"H-Hey Hanna" I say as casually as I can. "Hello Michael" she says with a smile. The same smile I love. "Um...can I ask you something?" I gulp. "Yeah, of course" she hops on top of the counter and faces me
                              Here I go.
"Are you free tomorrow?" I ask with all of my hope on the table. "Yeah. Why?" she asks suspiciously. Oh no she's on to me. Should I back away? Should I go on? But my mouth interrupts me. "Wanna go on a date with me then?" I kick myself mentally.
She hesitates on answering. She's going to say no!
"Sure" my eyes widen at her response. Did she just say that? Did she just answer my prayers?
                              ***
"MOM" I yell from my room, throwing clothes from my closet everywhere. "Yes, honey?" she walks in, gasping at the mess. "What did you do?!" she yells, crossing her arms.
"Can you please help me find something to wear" I ask with a straight voice, ignoring her yellings. "What is it for?" she asks, walking in the mess to beside me.
"Um. A d-date" I say quietly, hoping she didn't hear me. "You're going on a date? My little boy is growing up!" she exclaims and wraps her arms around my neck. "Mom. Stop"
She lets go and turns to the mess. "Let's see" she picks up clothes, shaking her head and throwing it on my bed. She goes this repeatively until she found what she liked. "What about this? You always look nice in this? And with one of your many pairs of skinny jeans, it'll look casual" she smiles at her choices and heads off back downstairs.
I get dressed in the black and red flannel and black shirt she picked out with my skinny jeans.
I lace up my boots before saying goodbye to both my mom and dad and leaving.
When I pick up Hanna, I see her sitting on her front steps. She looks so beautiful. She's wearing a black fitted dress that ends right above her knees. "Hey Mikey" she says as she stands up and flattens her dress.
Most guys would think she's nothing but hot wearing that kind of dress. But in fact, she's beautiful.
"You look beautiful" I say abrutly, catching her off guard. "Thank you" she says with a giggle.
I open the door for her and she gratefully accepts the offer as she sits down. I jog to the other side of the car and hop into the drivers seat.
Hanna is already blasting the radio, plugging in the aux cord to her phone and putting on My Chemical Romance.
Maybe 20 minutes later, we arrive to our destination. "This place looks expensive" she takes notice. "It is" I chuckle. "You are not paying a lot just for me" she puts a hand on my arm, refusing to let me go.
"You're worth every dime" I say with a wink before getting out and opening her door. "I have to give you that one. It was very smooth Clifford" she smirks as she weaves her arm aroud mine, walking inside with me by her side.
A waiter seats us. Like the gentlmen I am, I pull out her chair for her and push it in as she sits down. She thanks me and turns to the menu. "Let's see here" she bites the tip of her index finger in a teasing way.
"Hello. I'm Nancy. I'll be taking your orders" the young waitress says. She asks Hanna for her drink and then turns to me. "For you, handsome? What would you like to drink?" she winks at me. I ignore her and ask for water.
Before leaving she smirks at me and bites her lip. I roll my eyes and look down at the menu. "What a flirt she is" Hanna says quietly.
A couple of minutes pass before the same waitress comes back with our drinks and asks for our meal orders. Hanna orders first, like before and turns to me. "What would you like, hottie?" I give her my order and she scribbles it down. Then she writes something else down and rips it, handing it to me.
I look up to Hanna who looks like she's about to explode. Which she does.
"Excuse me, Nancy?" Hanna asks all innocently. Nancy, our waitress, looks over to Hanna. "Your job is to take orders and give it to us. Not to flirt with girls boyfriends" Hanna hands her the menu, smiling up at her like she didn't just call her out. Nancy doesn't say anything else. She takes my menu and scurries to God knows where.
"Jealous much?" I laugh. "She had it coming. She clearly saw us sitting together. It was rude to flirt with you while you were on a date with me" she takes a long sip of her water.
"I think like Jealous Hanna" She almost spits out her water. "Why?" she swallows, regaining her breathing. "You're confident when you're jealous. It's a good quality" I shrug. "Being jealous?" she asks. "No, being confident"
She nods and laughs. "Hanna?" I call. "Yes, Michael?" she calls back when she calms down. "I th-think I l-like you" I stutter. Wow. Way to be subtle Michael.
She's probably going to leave. With a handsome waiter. Yeah. His name is Paco or some crap. Hanna will leave me with waiter Paco because I told her that I think I like her.
"I like you too. I like like you. Please say you like me like that too" she pleads. "I like like you too" we both bust into laughter. "At least we're on the same page" she comments with a giggle.
After dinner, I drop her off at her house. We both get out, meeting at the hood of the car.
We don't say anything. But I'm slowly getting the courage to kiss her. And finally, I do. I just lean in and kiss her. My lips mold with hers perfectly.
                              This moment is perfect.
