"If she cared about you so much, then why did she make out with me?! Why did she come to my door every night when you two got into a fight?! Who's baby was she carrying?! Mine! Not yours!"

Those words kept replaying in my head like a rewind button was broken. I thought about everything. Every move he made, every syllable his lips produced. Why had he hurt me so much? I was his friend. I was jealous, that's all I did to the guy.

Nothing makes sense. First, he takes my girlfriend from me. She slipped from my fingers and he was her backup plan.

My fingers constantly reached over to my phone, but I always pulled away like the coward I am.

I had made a plan already in my head what I want to do, to see if this is the horrible-no-good truth. And after ten minutes, I reached my phone successfully and dialed his number.

"Ashton, I need your help" was the first thing I said. "Yeah, of course. With what?" he asked. "Just please come over" I begged. I heard him breathing on the other side. For some reason, I thought he would hang out. He would leave me hanging and not help me afterall. But he sighed and agreed. "I'll be there in 5 minutes" he said before hanging up.

I smiled into the phone and placed it down next to me and my bottle of vodka.

When those 5 minutes were up, I had to wait another minute until hearing the doorbell ring twice.

I was already sitting on the edge of my couch, which was close to the door. "Hey, Ash" I smiled at the boy that was on the other side of the door.

"Hey, Mikey. You okay?" he asked with a confused expression. "Actually, no. I need your help with something huge" I sat back down on the edge of the couch.

"With what, exactly?" he asked. "At the funeral...do you remember Calum saying that Hanna was pregnant?" he nodded. "Okay..well..I need to know if this is true or not. Will you drive us to the hospital?"

"Us?"

"Me and you" he nodded and walked out of my house. I soon followed.

The drive to the hospital was quiet, you could hear a pin drop. The radio was off, nobody spoke. It was like we weren't breathing.

Ashton pulled into the hospital parking lot. "Here we are" he broke the silence and my thoughts. "Yeah, let's go" I said.

We got out and took the elevator to a floor. Ashton knew my plan, he knew what he was doing somehow.

"Hi, we're looking for the autopsy doctor?" he questioned. "Oh, yes. The door is the last on the right. Down that hall" she pointed to a hall. We thanked her and followed the spoken map.

"Hello, we need to ask you a couple of questions" Ashton said to some doctor. He nodded for Ashton to go on.

"Did you or any other doctor do an autopsy on Hanna Monteiro?" he asked. I looked down in shame that we are actually doing this. It seems wrong, but I need to know. I at least deserve that.

"Yes. I did, actually. What is this about?" he asked, looking between Ashton and I.

"Was she pregnant?" I instantly ask, before Ashton could open his mouth. "I can't tell you" the doctor simply said.

"You don't understand. That was my girlfriend. She was pregnant with my ex friends kid apparently. That ex friend told me outnof his drunken self. I need to know if it's true" I explained, holding in that little hope I have for him to tell me.

"I'm sorry to hear that" he said sadly. "Me too. Can you just please tell me?" I asked with pleading eyes. I was desperate to know the answer. I would have even bribed the doctor.

"She was" and I could literally hear my heart snap into two halves. Well, it could be mine? "Can we test it or whatever to see if I was the father? Or if he was.." I looked down at my feet.

"Actually, yes. We can do that" he held up a finger, as if asking to wait a second. We did and he soon came back out with a sandwich bag and a Q-tip. "Open your mouth" he ordered. And I did so.

He stuck the cotton swab in my mouth and put it in the bag. "I'll be right back"

30 minutes later, he came back with a blank expression. "I'm so sorry, Mr. Clifford" that's when I realized the baby wasn't mine. There was only one other person it could have been. Calum.

"Thanks for doing this, doctor" I heard Ashton say as I ran off. Ashton called after me but I continued to run towards the car. I knew he would have to bring me back home but I didn't want to be in that hospital any longer. I wanted to be in my room with my bottle of intoxicating liquids.

But I wanted Hanna too. I wanted to cry in her shoulder and be able to kiss her again, even though she cheated on me. I would never know why she did that. I would never be able to ask her what made her do that to me, to hurt me like that.

"We're going to Calum's house" I tell Ashton once he reaches me and the car. She shrugged and got in.

Once we got there, I got out of the car with a slam and knocked harshly on his door.

Soon, Calum came to the door and smiled cockily at me. But I swiped that smile right off of his face with my fist. "If you ever hurt me again like that, I will kill you Calum Hood"
