"Lucas! How do you expect the window to be fixed, huh?! Money doesn't grow on trees and it sure doesn't come out of my-"

"Mum!" Luke cuts her off. "Do not interrupt your mother while she is speaking!" his dad yelled. "I'll pay for it! Okay? I'll deal with it. Just don't worry about it and save the lecture for another time" Luke said and soon there were footsteps heard from the stairs.

"Hey, sorry bout that" Luke mumbled and sat down on his bed with a sigh. "What if he does something else? Something worse? He could come after me or you or Hanna" I sob silently in my hands.

"What's going to happen now?" Hanna asks from the corner of the room. I look up to her. "What are you going to do, Michael?" she stood up and started to pace around the room. "How should I know?" I snap. "Well, we wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for you. So tell me. Tell Luke and I what you have in mind. What's the plan?" she asked and stopped in front of me. "I never asked for this to happen!" I stand up and yelled in her face.

"Well it did! And there's nothing I can do about it!" she yelled back, our foreheads almost touching. "I never asked you to do anything!" we both back away from each other at the same time.

"Take some credit in this, Hanna. This is your ex after all!" I snap. "Who? You or Ashton!"

My breath hitched for a second and I paused. My body went stiff at her harsh words. "Maybe both!" I finally say. Luke stands up and tries to talk to me but I move past him and start to say something else to her. "Why do you rely on me?" I ask her.

She doesn't respond. Instead, she looked around the room for something else to distract her. Soon it ended and she just walked out, saying goodbye to Luke before she went. I sighed and sat down on the edge of his bed. "What did I just do?"

"I don't know but you're a jerk" he crosses his arms over his chest. "I know"

Three light knocks echoed through the room as Luke opened his door. "This isn't a good time, Calum" my eyes widen at the name. "Well it's going to have to work because I just walked up that driveway to see Hanna crying her guts out" Calum sat down on the bean bag chair with his legs criss-crossed. "So care to tell me what happened?" Calum asked me. I look down at him with an annoyed expression. "Just leave, Calum"

"Woah! Why is there glass on the floor?" Calum exclaimed and got up quickly. "Ashton" Luke says. "Ashton Irwin?" Cal asked for reassurance. I nod and he chuckled. "What?" Luke asked. "It's no surprise Ashton did this. Probably was high or drunk or something" he shook his head and laughed some more. "Ashton does drugs?" I asked. "Yeah. And he drinks too. His father is a drug dealer and owns a bar. Ashton never saw him as a kid so his dad kinda owed him" he shrugged and sat back down.

"How do you know all of this?"

"Well, I walk his mom's dogs almost every day and she gets lonely sometimes and just vents to the one person who can't leave. I do it for the money, man" Calum shook his head in disappointment.

"I actually feel bad for him. It's not his fault. He just gets into the wrong crowds" Calum shrugged and I stood up. "Do not defend him" I say sternly. His body stiffened and he just stared up at me as I hovered over him on my toes.

Out of the corner of my eye, something was thrown into the room. I turn my head to see an egg. "What the-" another thrown at the window. And then more were thrown against the house.

All three of us ran downstairs and outside to see Ashton outside of his car with his friends. "Are you serious?!" I scream. "Stop!"

Ashton dropped the egg carton and hopped in the car with the rest of his friends. He just laughed and drove off.

The next day at school, I looked everywhere for Hanna. Her homeroom, some classrooms, cafeteria, outside, library, and even the janitors closet. I looked all morning but couldn't look anymore because of the bell.

My head was down for most of the day until it was time to go home. And on accident, I bumped into her. My head shot up and my eyes widened. I immediately clung to her and wrapped my arms around her neck. "I've been looking everywhere for you" I whispered in her ear. "I've been looking for you too"

"Hanna, I'm so sorry"

"I'm sorry too"

And just like that, we became us again.
