"Elias you aren't my hero, you weren't the one who saved me last night" she blurts out.
I replay the exact same words she had just pronounced over and over inside my head.
I stare blankly at her for a moment.
She's nervous I can tell.
Her green eyes are full of worry, pain, and just all these emotions built up that was difficult to recall each one.
She's trying to block me.
She's trying her best not to let me in.
Why is she even denying I saved her life?, I don't know.
But she's not leaving until I find out.
"What are you insane?!" I spat.
Yeah that was harsh, but she's the one denying the freaking fact that I saved her from a very dangerous situation.
I don't want recognition, nor credit for what I did.
It was the right, honorable thing to do.
Plus I wouldn't allow anything nor anyone to harm Analia if I can help her, I have real strong and deep feelings for her.
I just want her to believe me and to know that I'll always be there to protect her.
But right now she's both confusing and annoying the crap out of me.
Like Jesus Christ!
I get they put something in your punch to drug you for a while, but come on!
I saved your freaking life and you can't go out of this room without acknowledging that.
"No, I am not insane" she replies calmly.
"Well you sound insane! Do you even know what you're saying?" I ask.
"Don't try to argue Elias, it doesn't do any good" she suggests.
"Of course I'm going to argue! You're over here telling me I did nothing of of a sort to save your life last night" I exclaim.
"Because you didn't!" she blurts out.
"Then who did!" I question with my hands up.
"The guy who saved me last night" she begins softly looking straight into my eyes.
My face softens as my angry expressions die down.
"Was kind. He put himself first, he thought of me before he even thought about his safety. He wasn't judgmental, he was just someone who wanted to protect me." she explains.
"I'm not trying to deny your place in this Elias. You are a huge part of it, and I'm grateful for what you did, but" she pauses more and more pain being reflected in her eyes.
"The guy who saved me promised to never hurt me again. A-and the person I'm looking at right now....isn't the same one I was with last night" she finishes tears in her eyes.
My heart sinks.
I can't believe she's saying this to me right now.
I can't believe I'm making her think I want to hurt her on purpose.
She sniffles a bit turning her heels to walk out of my room.
"Wait!" I call out grabbing onto her wrist.
"Elias, please don't make this harder than it already is" she pleads her voice cracking.
"No, please wait" I plead.
