Chapter 15: The Bite

Happiness

A solid bomb of pure bliss given by none other than Aria Gabriels.

Aria Gabriels, the girl who’s responsible for almost making me crazy and for my occasional perving, is staring at me wordlessly and obviously thinking of a good excuse on how she’s going to escape her trapped situation.

“Don’t worry. The feeling is mutual.” I told her.

“Really?” Aria asked disbelievingly but hopeful at the same time, her eyes widening some more.

I shrugged nonchalantly and say a very non-committal response, “Yeah. You’re a likable person.”

There is no way I’m pouring my heart out with these guys in hearing range.

“Oh.” Aria said flatly, looking away and her lips are twitching in an adorable annoyed expression.

My head turned to the guys and saw them shaking their heads at me disapprovingly.

I mouthed “What?” at them and widened my eyes as if sending a secret-code-glance. Josh picked it up immediately and suddenly shouted a very loud, “OH!”

Aria, Georgina, and Drake looked at him, surprised by his outburst.

“Blimey Georgie, we still need to pack out PJs!” Josh dramatically exclaimed at her, making Georgie rolled her eyes and look at me.

“See you later.” She nodded at Aria and then gave me a lingering teasing stare before she turns around and drags Josh by the ear, Drake following behind the two before giving me a very wide smirk.

I turn my head sheepishly at Aria who looks very “displeased” for leaving her with me. I know it’s really awkward for her but it’s far from awkward for me.

“So…” I started, facing her fully, digging my hands in my pocket. “You like me?”

She glared at me, “Cocky are we, Mr. William”

A wide smile appeared in my face. She’s not even going to deny it.

“I’m just making sure.” I shrugged.

Aria rolled her eyes slowly and started walking towards the parking lot.

“So, you really like me?” I pushed, walking sideways beside her, crouching my head to the side to look at her face.

She stopped walking and turns her head to glare at me. Obviously annoyed.

I raised my eyebrows at her innocently. “I’m just making sure"

That made Aria roll her eyes again at me but I grabbed her hand and towed her to my car.

Of course, I didn’t fail to notice the softness and warmth of it.

“Why go ahead and drag me to your car, please.” She said sarcastically.

“I want to drive you home.” I told her quietly as we reach my car.

When we’re both seated inside, she pull out her phone and muttered, “How can I resist a Lamborghini…”

“How can YOU resist a Nathaniel…” I muttered back.

She scoffed and looks up at me. “I’ll take everything back. I don’t like you anymore.”

“So you admit you like me?” I noted, smiling widely as we exit Xavier’s gates.
