Chapter 18

Cassie's P.O.V

Ugh. I felt like I hadn't been at school for months. Skipping a few days was fun. But now I have more work to do.

"Can I walk you to class?" Michael put his arm around my shoulder and kissed my head.

"We have all of the same classes except Math, which we have as the last period." I rolled my eyes and walked to class with Michael.

Today was the last day until Christmas break. Thank goodness. My mother never does anything for Christmas so I usually sit at home and do nothing until she gets home from work.

I feel bad for her. She works every day and gets home really late. I never see her anymore. I miss her.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my name.

"Cassandra? Cassandra!" I looked up to see the entire class staring at me, and my teacher looking furious.

"Oh y-yeah what?" I said and the entire class laughed. 

"Pay attention please." She said and continued speaking to the class.

I rolled my eyes and sat back in my chair.

"Babeeeeee!" Michael whined.

I sighed. "What now? You're so needy. Like a kitten." I laughed. "Aw my babe is a little kitten!"

"I am NOT a kitten. I'm punk rock." He smirked.

I rolled my eyes. "A punk rock kitten." I giggled and followed him to a table where the rest of the boys were sitting.

"Aw here comes the cutest couple in school." Calum laughed.

"Excuse me, Lashton is the cutest couple in school." Michael and I say at the same time and giggle.

Luke and Ashton blushed. "Um we kinda need to say something." Ashton whispered, just loud enough for us to hear.

"Go on!" Calum pushed.

Luke giggled and Ashton held his hand. "Lashton is real." Luke smiled. They both looked at eachother and smiles.

Calum, Michael and I were shocked. I mean, we always joked about it, but we never actually thought they were together.

"Aw I was always Lashton af." Michael smiles and pats them on the back. We all start laughing.

"Aw damn! Calum is a fifth wheel!" Ashton laughed.

"Actually," Calum smiled. "I'm not."

Jessica.

"Oh gosh! Is Calessica a thing? Or should it be Jalum?" I yelled.

Everyone laughed. "I don't know. They're both cute." Calum laughed.

I ate a few chips and placed my head against Michael's shoulder.

"Hey! Stop throwing popcorn!" Michael screeched.

I kept throwing handfuls of popcorn at his face, laughing uncontrollably. "No. I will never stop!" I giggled and threw anther handful at his face. "We're at my house, I can do what I want."

"Let's watch a horror movie." Michael took the bowl of popcorn from me and I pouted.

"You'll get scared and I'll have to cuddle you." I rolled my eyes and giggled.

"Nah, you'll be the one getting scared." He said, obviously full of himself.

I scoffed. "Wanna bet?" I smirked, and leaned back in the couch.
