3rd Person P.O.V.

Silence. It's all too familiar these days. She can be in a room full of people that are yelling, and she doesn't hear a sound. She learned to block everyone out.

She feels like she is screaming. But no one can hear her.

Whenever she tries to speak, no words come out.

Now, standing on the edge of the same building they shared our first kiss on, she can finally hear again.

She can hear the cars driving by. She can hear the people walking on the sidewalk, talking on their phones.

She can hear his voice. Calling to her.

She is calm. She is smiling.

"Why do you always say 'goodnight' instead of 'goodbye'?" He asked, his voice full of confusion.

"Goodbye means forever," She said, sitting back down on the edge.

"I'm not saying goodbye to you. I can't go forever without you," He lied. He could go forever without her. It's already been a year. He got what he wanted. Recognition. Fame. He got everything he wanted. Except her. "Please don't do this," His voice rang through the phone.

"I can and I will," She said, holding back tears.

She could hear him sigh. "Maybe you want to be saved."

"Perhaps," She said, looking at the sidewalk below her, looking soft and welcoming.

"No one can save you but yourself," He said.

She sighed. "But what if I don't want saving?"

"I don't know," He said, softly.

"I needed you," She began, "I walked out and I didn't want you to chase me. But I still needed you to be there for me. But you weren't. Where were you at two am when I was crying myself to sleep?Where were you when I needed a friend? Where were you?" She took a deep breath. "I knew exactly where you were. You were on tour. You were too busy. But while you were 'too busy', I was trying my hardest to forget about you. You had all that time. And you didn't even call or text me once."

She wiped her eyes with her sweater and stared at the ground so many feet below her, "I was in pain, and you seemed okay about it."

The line was silent. She could faintly hear him breathing. "I'm sorry," He said, bluntly. No emotion. He didn't care. He never did.

She smiled and looked around her. She felt hundreds of little raindrops fall on her.

"Goodbye," She said.

And then she jumped.
