This is long, sorry! I don't know why all my Hayes imagines are so long! Well, he is one of my favorite Magcon boys...

You were at Hayes's championship football game. You were in the stands with the freezing rain pouring down on you. You didn't care, though. You were just excited to see Hayes, and all his friends from Magcon, play. You focused you eyes on the field. Matt passes the ball to Hayes, and he started sprinting towards the end zone. The other team tackled him on the way, and he went flying. He landed awkwardly on his ankle and clutched it, the ball still in his hands. There was 10 seconds left of the game. It was tied, 26-26. You were worried about Hayes. He was injured. When everyone expected him to stay down and get help, he got up and started running.

5 seconds. Closer. 4 seconds. The bright lights blared down on the field. 3 seconds. It was like everything was in slow motion. 2 seconds. Almost there. 1 second. TOUCHDOWN!!!! Hayes made the winning touchdown! They won! Hayes was still hurt, though. You ran towards Hayes. He had fell, and was being supported by Nash, Matt, and Cameron. His coach had called an ambulance. You ran over to Hayes, slipping and sliding, and threw your arms around him, making sure not to hurt his ankle. "You did great out there, babe," you whisper in his ear, "How's that ankle?" He replied with a strained, "It hurts." You shoot a worried look at his friends and brother, Hayes never complained about pain. "Hang in there, bro," Nash said.

Everyone was celebrating! You guys helped Hayes off the field, towards the awaiting ambulance. As Hayes was loaded in, you realized how cold you were. You weren't wearing a sweatshirt, and you were soaked to the bone. The paramedic noticed this, and draped his jacket around you. "Thanks," you mumbled, locking eyes with Hayes. "Only room for 2 others in the back," the paramedic said. "Nash and y/n, you go." Cameron said. You both nodded and got in. Nash filmed the whole way.

The whole time, you were squeezing Hayes's hand, biting your lip, and stressing. "Relax, y/n. I have a bum ankle. I'm not dying," Hayes comforted you. He gave you a quick peck on the lips. "Lovebirds," Nash said to the camera. You stuck your tongue out at him. "Real mature, y/n." Nash laughed. You started gnawing on your lip, like you always do when you're nervous. "Wow, are you trying to eat your lip?" Nash questioned, laughing. "She bites her lip when she's nervous," Hayes answered for you. Then, you arrived at the hospital. Hayes got moved to his own room.

You call Hayes's parents, and they came as soon as they could. The only thing was, Hayes's dad didn't like you. "Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Grier!" you greet them, "Hey, Skylynn!" Mrs. Grier replies, "How many times have we told you to call us by our real names, Elizabeth and Chad?" You giggle, "Ok, Elizabeth, thanks." A doctor came out and said,"Family of Hayes Grier?" "That's us," Chad said. "Well, Hayes has a sever break. We have to put him into surgery to set it and place pins in it, so it holds together." the doctor replies. "Oh, and, I'm Dr. Morgan," he said, "Hayes will go into surgery in about 3 hours. He can have visitors now, if you want." After his family sees him, you are hesitant to go. You aren't sure if Hayes's family would want you in the hospital waiting with them, yet alone in his hospital room, especially Chad.

"Why don't you visit Hayes, y/n?" Elizabeth says. "Only if you want me to," you say. "I don't want her in there!" Chad yells. "I'm sorry that I bothered you. I'll go," you say, scared. "Chad, let her see Hayes before she goes," Elizabeth scolds him. You take a deep breath, and knocked on his door. "Come in," he said. You slowly walk in. "Hey, babe, are you gonna be here for my surgery?" he asks. "Um. About that," you say, biting your lip. "I have to go. There have been some...circumstances under which I can't stay." you say, cautiously. "It's my dad, isn't it? He doesn't want you here?" he questions. You continue to bite your lip, not knowing what to say. Chad peeks his head inside, "Times up, y/n!" Hayes asks, "Wait, y/n, how are you going to get home? Your house is at least 10 miles from here! And your parents are away on a business trip!"

You says back, "I can walk home and I'm 16, I can take care of myself. Plus, I have some calories I need to burn off." Hayes glared at you, totally disagreeing."Bye, Hayes! Call me tomorrow after your surgery!" you say. After an extremely long walk home, you finally got to your house. You got ready for bed and weighed yourself. You had lost 7 pounds! As soon as you climbed into bed, you fell asleep before your head hit the pillow. You woke up the next day to see an updated YouTube video on Hayes's account. You click on it, wondering what it is. It's Hayes after his surgery, and he's still loopy from the anesthesia! You start to laugh as you watch the video. "Hey guys, look at my cast! It's a gun. Pew, pew, pow! I can doodle on it!" Hayes slurs, "My butt hangs out of the hospital gown. Speaking of my butt, I miss y/n! If you are watching this babe, come see me!"

An hour later, you drive to the hospital. "How ya feelin Hayes?" you say as you walk in the room. "Good, I'm going home today!" he exclaims, "It's so boring here. I've been counting cracks in the ceiling for over 2 hours!" You laugh and say, "Oh and speaking of your surgery. What do I have to do with your butt?" Then, Skylynn ran into the room. "Hi, Haysie! Hi, y/n!" she beams. "Hey, Sky!" you say, picking her up. "How about after we get out of here, I'll buy you some ice cream?" you say. "Any toppings?" Skylynn asks. "Any toppings," you confirm. "How about me?" Hayes asks. "Hmm, let me think about it..." you tease. He gives you his best puppy dog face. It was to die for! "Ok, fine. You can have some ice cream too." you say.

Soon after that, Hayes was checked out of the hospital. "I'm finally free!" Hayes shouted, hobbling along on his crutches. "Hayes, you look like an old man!" you laugh. After you guys got ice cream, you went back to Hayes's house. "Do you want to stay for dinner?" he asks you, wrapping an arm around your waist. "Y/n! You lost weight! You're like a walking twig!" he exclaims. You laugh, "I would love to stay for dinner." He smiled. "Great, there's just one more thing I need to clear up." he said, "Dad, can you come here?" Your eyes immediately widened, but Hayes held your hand reassuringly. "Yes, son?" Chad asks. "Dad, I invited y/n to stay for dinner," he got to the point.

Chad started to protest, but Hayes continued. "Dad, you can't stop me! I don't know why you dislike her so much! I love her!" he yelled. You gasped. Hayes loved you? By then, his whole family was in the room, listening. "Hayes, I'm not sure," Chad said. You quickly butt in, "Hayes, maybe we should break up. I want you AND your family to be happy." His face fell, "But you make me happy," he whimpered. "Goodbye, Hayes." you say, kissing him on the cheek. You start heading towards the door. Skylynn came up to you. "But, y/n. Who's gonna play horsies with me and buy me ice cream?" she asked. "Hayes is going to get another girlfriend. A better one," you assure her. Hayes protests, but keeps his mouth shut. "Wait, y/n!" Chad says.

"Anyone who cares that much about my son that much deserves to be with him. I'm sorry about being so mean. I guess I wasn't ready for Hayes to grow up." he apologizes. 'Thank you, Mr. Grier! I won't let you down!" you practically shout, running up to Hayes. He kisses you passionately. "Now, let's gt some food! Y/n's like a walking twig!" Chad exclaims. "That's what I said!" Hayes screams. Later, after a stomach-stuffing dinner, you guys were all hanging out in the family room. You and Hayes were cuddling on the couch with his arm wrapped around you. "Y/n, you fit in so well! Maybe the next time you're here, it'll be for good!" he says. You smile, knowing you're at home. You say, "Oh and by the way, Hayes, I love you too!"
