I went back inside the house. I kicked the snow off my boots, and kicked them off. I then shook off my coat, hanging it up. I walked into the kitchen, where Adrian was still sitting there, reading his book.

"You should get your nose out of that book and actually do something productive." I advised him with a giggle.

"Like what? There's nothing else to do." he chuckled, waving his hands in the air after he put his bookmark in his book.

"Hey... I know something we can do." I grinned.

"Oh really?" he raised an eyebrow. "We? And don't tell me it's going outside to have a snowball fight. You know how much I hate the cold."

"Well..." I giggled, and raced back into the front porch where we kept all of the winter supplies.

I grabbed his coat, hat, boots, and gloves. I raced back inside, throwing them onto the floor in front of him. "We can go visit the circus!" I exclaimed, racing back out to get my boots, coat, gloves and hat.

As I was pulling them on, Adrian sighed. "There is no way your dragging me into this."

"Fine, I'm going by myself then." I stuck my tongue out at him. "You know I'm going either way, no matter what you say."

He groaned. "Fine, I'm coming with you."

"That's the happy holiday winter spirit!" I cheered as he pulled on all his winter clothes. "Let's go!" I grinned widely at him, practically skipping out the front door and into the snow.

Fresh snowflakes fell from the sky, coating the trees and the ground in white snow. It was beautiful. "Isn't it beautiful?!" I questioned Adrian.

"Yeah." He shrugged.

I grabbed onto his arm. "Come on, snowpoke, let's go!" I giggled as I dragged him through the snowy forest.

"Snowpoke?" he raised his eyebrow at the word I created.

"Yes! Snowpoke! It's like slowpoke, but where your really slow while your outside in the snow!" I grinned.

"I see." Adrian laughed. "You're a really funny person, you know that Angel?"

"I know. I am really funny. But your boring." I snorted at him.

"Oh really?" he questioned, taking off and running through the snow. I giggled, running after him, raising my feet high as I ran through the 1 foot deep snow so I could run faster.

Before I knew it, we had ran completely through the forest, emerging into the meadow where the circus was.

"Gotcha!" I giggled, jumping onto his back, and sending us both rolling down the snowy hill in a bundle.

By the time we hit the bottom of the hill and stopped rolling, we were both laughing our heads off, panting while laying side by side.

"Hey, Angel!" a familiar voice called. I looked up to see Joker running up to us.

"Hey!" I greeted, standing up with Adrian. I brushed the snow off our clothes.

"Who's this? Is he your boyfriend?" Joker asked. Mine and Adrian's face turned as red as a tomato.

"N-No... He's my brother." I said quickly.

"Oh. Sorry about that. What is his name?" Joker questioned.

"My name is Adrian. I'm calm, unlike this idiot here," he gestured to me, smirking, "I like to read books, and that's really about it."

"Cool. I like books too." Joker chuckled. "Anyway, Angel, you didn't really tell me about yourself very much last night. Why don't you say something?"

"Uhh... Sure." I nodded my head. "I am 13 years old, as you already know. I like to draw and paint. I also like cats. I also like to read DC comics, and watch episodes of the Justice League. My favourite protege is Robin and Kidflash." I announce.

"That sounds neat. I actually have someone here who likes Justice League too. Her name is Hope, and she is Caine's brother. She is the girl over there in the black beanie and dark blue sweater with the words 'Nobody is perfect, I am nobody.'"

"Cool." I nodded.

"Why don't I show you guys around? Maybe introduce you to a few people?" Joker offered.

"Sure." Adrian and I said in unison.

"Come on, let's go." he smiled.

Adrian and I followed him through the snow. We walked up to a man and a woman leaning against the train wall, quietly talking with each other.

"This is Mary and Daniel. They are the parents of Caine and Hope." Joker announced. The two people looked up at us as we approached.

The man named Daniel greeted us with a warm smile. "Hello Joker. Who are these two?" he beckoned to us.

"Are they new recruits?" The woman named Mary asked curiously.

"No, but if they were interested, I bet they could find a role." Joker explained. "They are just simply some friends I met last night. They live in the cabin in the forest." Joker pointed to our house that you could see in the woods, which had smoke coming out of the chimney.

"Ah, I see." Daniel nodded. "If you two are interested, we have open acts that you two can take up."

"That would be fun." I grinned. I turned to Adrian. "Maybe we could join." I whispered to him.

"I'm not sure..." he whispered hesitantly back.

"But it's my dream..." I whined.

"Fine, we'll think about it, okay?" he sighed.

"Yay!" I grinned.

"So let's show you around to some other people." Joker nodded, leading us another way.

"Okay." We nodded.

Joker led us up to these two kids about our age.

"This is Caine and Holly. They are siblings, as you already know. They are also your age." Joker explained.

The two siblings looked at us. "Who are they?" the girl named Holly questioned.

"This is Adrian and Angel. They are siblings like you." Joker explained. "They might be joining the circus. They live in the cabin in the forest over there."

"Cool. Maybe we should hang out sometime." Holly offered.

"Yeah, that would be nice." I smiled.

"What are your talents?" Caine asked.

"Well, I'm good at balancing." I replied.

"And I'm good at throwing things and hitting my target." Adrian nodded.

"Well, maybe Angel will fit right into the tightrope, and Adrian will fit into knife throwing." Caine explained.

"Wow. That would be fun. Well, we better get going. Our mom will be home soon." Adrian announced.

"Yeah." I agreed.

"Okay, bye! See you tomorrow!" they called as we left, heading back towards the house.
