I sat in my room, with Smokey on my lap. One thing I was glad about, was that just like in the big, long dream that I had, in real life, I had Smokey. Apparently while I was in a coma, after one year, my mother had gotten a cat, and named her Smokey. She must have told me while I was in my coma, and my mind registered the information about the cat that my mom told me, and in the long dream life I had, we had gotten a cat also, and we named her Smokey.
Christmas time was nearing. Today or tomorrow, we planned to put up the Christmas tree, decorate it with lights and other decorations, then start to decorate the whole house using Christmas lights, even the outside of the house. It was going to be really fun. My father said that I could put the Christmas angel on top of the tree. Instead of a star, we have an angel that goes on top of the Christmas tree. It's still just as beautiful, though. That's for sure. My mother and father also said that I could also help put up the Christmas lights on the outside of the house. This was going to be freaking amazing!
I pulled my laptop over to my from the desk beside my bed, still petting Smokey who was sitting on my lap. I rested it in front of me, and then pulled the laptop lid open. I pressed the power button, and waited about a minute as the Window's logo appeared on the screen, then faded again, replaced by my light blue log on screen. I lifted my hand, and typed in my password. My father had gotten it for me a month ago, saying it's my present when I wake up. He also gave Caine a laptop, and Adrian has had his for about a year now already. I hit enter after I finished typing in my password which was 15 numbers long. I had managed to memorize all random 15 numbers in order, and made it my password.
I remember that I even once had a friend from my old school, who had memorized a password that was 20 letters long, but they had just typed in random letters one time while creating the password, and managed to memorize it. I probably only memorized this password though because I used it often. Also, just in case I forgot it, I have the password written down in my notes on my phone, which my father had also gotten for Caine and I when we woke up from our comas.
I pulled the mouse over, and plugged the USB part in. My mouse was wireless, and it only needed you to plug in the little USB into the port. Oh well, it still bears having to have a long cord wind around your computer that gets tangled up all the time. It's way easier. I clicked on the blue, green, red and yellow Google Chrome icon. Within an instant, the browser popped up, it's homepage set to new tab. I have a picture of wolves howling at the moon as my background on it.
I pressed 'Google' on my bookmarked sites below the search bar, and within 2 seconds, the google page had loaded in, and I then typed the words 'Creative Christmas Lights Ideas For Outside' and pressed enter to search. I bounced up and down excitedly. I was going to give my father and my mother a brilliant idea and a creative idea on how to decorate the outside of the house uniquely. It would be amazing.
I then clicked images, and I saw a cool idea. There were trees along the driveway outside, and it showed a green and red light pattern shining on the trees. I think it was really cool. I shut the laptop lid, and looked down at the sleeping cat on my lap. I chuckled at Smokey, then scratched her head, before gently but carefully lifting her up and off my lap. I cradled her in my arms for a minute while she purred happily, and then I turned and gently set her down on the bed beside me. I smiled, scratched her head one more time behind her ear, and got up off the bed. I walked over to my door, opened it, and walked down the stairs to find my mother and my father.
"Hey dad," I called when I saw him. He was standing in the kitchen beside my mother, who was cooking chicken for dinner. "I got an idea for the Christmas lights." I announced.
"Oh really?" he asked, fully interested. "What is it?" he asked.
"I decided that it would be cool to set up green and red spotlights below each of the trees that line the driveway, and that would make each of the trees glow in that colour!" I exclaimed excitedly.
"That is a really good idea, Angel." my father nodded. "We'll look for those spotlights in the store." he stated, and smiled.
"Okay." I nodded energetically.
"Actually, I saw some red and green Christmas spotlights at Walmart. We could go and get them today or tomorrow, or some other time this week." my mother spoke up, smiling as she pulled the fresh, cooked chicken out of the oven. The delicious smell floated around the room.
"Is the chicken done yet?" I heard Adrian call from upstairs in his room.
"Yeah! It is!" my father called to him.
"Okay, coming down!" I heard Adrian call, followed by a "Me too!" from Caine.
Caine and Adrian came running down the stairs, and we all stopped at the counter. My mother cut the chicken up, and we all took whatever portion of the chicken that we wanted to eat. Man, this chicken smelled extremely good. I walked over to the table with my plate after I grabbed a fork and a knife to eat the chicken with.
"Thank you mother!" Adrian, Caine and I called as we started eating the delicious, yummy, tasty chicken.
