I woke up to the rattling of the train. I yawned, and got out of bed. Still in my pajamas, I walked out of the my room. Walking down the hall, I saw Joker.
"Hey, Joker!" I called.
He turned around, and as he saw me, a smile lit up on his face. "Hello, Angel! I was wondering when you would wake up." he chuckled, laughing.
"Why? What time is it?" I asked confused.
"It is 10:00 am." he smiled. "Sleepyhead. I decided to let everyone sleep in today, as later today we will be setting up." He explained.
"Oh. Alright. And Joker..." I started.
"Yes?" he answered, glancing up at me after checking what time it was on his gold chained pocket watch.
"Where does the circus head to? Like, what cities does it visit?" I asked.
"Well," he started to say, and he grabbed a clipboard that was hanging on the wall. "We just left North Buxton, and we are headed towards Brantford, then Hamilton, and then finally, we perform in Niagara Falls." he announced.
"Okay. How long until we reach Brantford?" I asked.
He looked at his clipboard again before glancing up at me. "We should reach Brantford in about 3 hours. Until then, I suggest not doing anything too tiring, because when we get to Brantford, we'll have to unload everything and start to put it back up again." he stated.
"Alright." I nodded. I opened the door to the next car, hopping over the gap. When you think about it, hopping over the gap is kinda fun. And Caine is right- it does get easier the more you do it.
I hopped over 2 more cars until I was at the dining car. I got some food to eat, then looked for a place to sit. I noticed Hope sitting at one of the booths with a girl who is the same age as her, dressed in black with a black hood and a black cape.
"Hey, Hope." I greeted as I walked over, sitting across from her and the other girl.
"Oh, hey Angel! This is Raven. She is Sebastian's apprentice, and they are the magicians of the circus." Hope introduced me.
"Hi. I'm Angel." I said to the girl named Raven. I laughed inside my head about how ironic her relation to the Teen Titans Raven was. In Teen Titans, Raven had powers too, just like this Raven who is the magicians apprentice.
"Hi Angel. My name is Raven. I'm Sebastian's apprentice, and his daughter. I inherited my magician powers from him." Raven explained.
"Oh, that's cool. I wish I had powers." I laughed.
"Yeah." Hope agreed, giggling.
"I watched you and your father Sebastian during the show. You guys were completely amazing." I grinned.
"Thanks." Raven replied, a light smile on her face.
I started to eat my breakfast which was a blueberry muffin with a cinnamon and raisin bagel with butter all over it. If there was any food I liked more than pancakes, it was bagels. Oh, and ice cream, because, who doesn't like ice cream?
I looked to see what Hope and Raven were eating. Raven was eating carrots with an apple, and Hope was eating a pancake with butter on it.
I continued to eat my breakfast in silence. When I was finished eating, Hope and Raven had finished too.
"Angel, let's go get changed. We're still in our pajamas and we need to be ready and changed in 30 minutes, because that is when the train stops at Brantford." Hope explained, and I stood up with her.
"Okay." I nodded, and we walked back to our bedrooms, hopping the cars.
I walked into my bedroom and closed the door. Smokey immediately jumped off of my bed where she was laying, and she ran over to me, meowing and purring happily. I kneeled down in front of her.
"Hey Smokey." I smiled, scratching her head and scratching behind her ears. She meowed a happy response.
I went over to my dresser, and pulled out a pair of light gray jogging pants and a black, areopostale, long sleeved shirt.
I pulled off my pajamas, and dropped them on the floor. I then pulled on the light gray jogging pants, and black long sleeved areopostale shirt.
I also pulled out some black socks, and sat down on my bed, unrolling them. I grabbed one, and pulled it on, then I grabbed the other sock, and pulled it on my other foot.
I looked out the window at all the scenery passing by. I sat down on the bed, and crisscrossed my legs. I just stared out the window, with nothing better to do. Smokey hopped up on the bed, and walked over to me. She meowed, hitting her head against my back, then crawled into my lap where she then settled down, and fell asleep.
I just stroked her head softly, staring out the window. I saw buildings, and some houses in the distance. About 5 more minutes and we'll be at Brandford. I smiled.
Joining this circus was the best choice I have ever made. It's been so much fun so far, and it has also been so exciting, with tons of fun. I grinned as I started to remember the time when I first heard the Mystery Circus was coming to town. I was so excited. And I never expected to be able to join it, or be in the show, in front of the whole town. And now look where I am, sitting in the train which leads to the next city where we will set up, and in a few days, perform again!
I noticed the train starting to slow to a stop. I gently lifted Smokey off of my lap, and then rested her on the bed. I gently got up from the bed, in hopes not to wake her up. I slid off of the bed, stumbling slightly as the train halted, but grabbed the wall to prevent myself from falling. I put on my winter boots. I walked out of the door, and hopped off of the train car and into the snow.
I started to walk towards the storage car to help Joker with the tent. Man, this was going to be a difficult job.
