I quietly weave through the crowds of crew members, making my way to the dressing rooms. I had had a whole plan about how dramatic I'd be, but now in the midst of pain, I'd rather just lie down.
I turn the corner, automatically facing the wooden door I had to enter. Gosh, I'd rather not see Tyler right now. He caused me to fall and sprain my wrist! Just from my thoughts of that moment, a harsh, searing pain spread throughout my wrist.
I shook my head, trying to wipe my mind of that. I couldn't give power to the pain, nor to Tyler.
I turn the knob with my usually unused left hand, sauntering in and plopping myself on an empty couch. Pulling my phone out of my pocket, I noticed Josh glance at me.
"What took you so long?" He questioned, "We have been waiting for you for over an hour!"
I shrugged, obviously not wanting to cause drama right now. I wanted to tell him what had happened, but I knew if I did right now I'd come out sounding like a cry baby. Finally, he notices my wrist brace.
"What happened here?" He asks, walking over to hold my wrist. I immediately flinch back, hurt by the touch.
"I sprained it." I push out, not wanting to say anything more.
"How?"
"Trying to break my fall." I answer, no details given.
"'Livia, just tell me the story of what happened." He says, sighing loudly. I shrug before I start, hoping to give off the 'I don't know or care' vibe.
"I was soaked by a taxicab and when I went to get in the driver said he couldn't get his seats wet so I had to walk. While I was walking, I slipped and I broke my wrist." I say.
"Broke?!" He exclaimed. "I thought-"
"Sprained, sorry, I wasn't watching what I said right then."
He nods quietly, thinking over what I had just told him. His eyebrows scrunch together and he looks up. He opens his mouth to say something, but closes it quickly.
"Weren't you and Tyler supposed to go together?" He asks.
"Yes, but he decided to leave me on the unfamiliar streets alone." I inform him, shooting Tyler an evil look.
"Oh, well, I'm going to go get some food. They didn't put chips and salsa in here." He tells me, getting up from his seat and walking out.
Really?
My anger eventually gets the worst of me, and I stand up and storm over to where Tyler lays.
"Why have you been such a jerk to me?" I nearly yell.
His eyes not leaving his phone, he asks, "Why are you trying to steal my best friend and ruin our tour? I have questions, too."
I stare at him, wide eyed. Me, of all people, rendered quiet. Tyler had been torturing me lately, causing me literal pain, all because he needs his friend. Finally, I gather my raging thoughts.
"You think I'm trying to steal your best friend?" I ask quietly, sad someone would think such bad of me.
He nods. "Though now I hear it out loud, it sounds pathetic."
"It is pathetic!" I say, using his words against him. "I sprained my wrist because of you-"
He holds up his hand. "I'm sorry."
I shake my head. "You are not forgiven." And with that, I stormed off.
