Chapter 13

"Hey Y/n want to join us for a little adventure into the underworld?" Chris says wiggling his eyebrows

"Hmmm you know I've watched too many horror movies that I know messing with that thing is a one way ticket to Satan's personal sauna. So no thanks but I'm still pretty freezing so I think I'll just stay by the fire", I could hear a faint sigh. Like someone was holding their breathe to long, not paying any attention to it I go and sit on the couch.

"Hey Y/n if you'd like in one of the girls rooms there are books or if you'd like to take a nap you can always use my room" Josh says coming over to sit next to me. He looks worried; maybe using the Ouija board isn't the best thing for him right now.

"Hey I don't think you should play with that thing " I say pointing to the Ouija board seeing my concern he just kisses my head and heads to where Chris and Ashley have set up chairs and candles.

"Man I hope they don't prank him" I whisper to myself. Looking at the fire I decide I want to grab some books so that I'm not completely bored.

Heading upstairs I go through the first set of doors and ended up in Hanna's room. Man even though I know they are gone it still feels like there is an empty hole in my heart. I look through her things to find any books but end up finding her some photos of Hanna, Beth and Josh. Not wanting to be there anymore I grab any book I could find and head out.

Sitting on the couch I check out the book that I just randomly grabbed. 'My sisters keeper' it read, how ironic. I didn't want to go back to the room I just start reading the book, I got through half of the book until I hear Josh frantically say something. Getting worried I go over to where they were doing the 'séance',

"Watch out!" Josh says all I could see was the board being flipped and Josh getting to his feet. I quicken my pass to them and I could hear some bickering, then all of a sudden I hear Josh yell,

"I don't need this right now. Okay?!? You guys are full of it!" I see Josh walking off leaving Chris and Ashley I just look at them and they look sorrowful, before they could say anything I just put up a hand signifying that we'll talk about it later. I run after Josh and caught up with him quickly,

"Hey slow down. What happened?" I grab his shoulder telling him to stop and he just nudges my hand off. He stops and looks up set, I try to grab his hand for comfort but he moves his hand so I couldn't touch him

"Where you in on that prank as well? Cause that's messed up. I trusted you. I have to admit the basement was funny but this is not." He says raising his voice a bit.

"What are you talking about" I say confused with a little irritated.

"Oh you know how you got them to pretend that we were talking to Hanna. Man you're no better than they are. To think I actually found comfort in you. Let me guess you planned this for months and all that time I even bet you lied about 'loving me'-" Before he could go on I exploded,

"WHAT IN GOD'S NAME ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I went into Hanna's room to get a book and was reading before I heard your frantic voice then I got worried and found you all bickering. AND how dare you! I do love you! I don't even know what happened when I wasn't there, maybe they did play a prank but I WASN'T in on it! I would never do that! You know what go get some air and when you're calm come talk to me!" I said walking away so that he couldn't say anything more. How could he think I didn't love him? I've seen him messed up but not angry like that. Ugh I need to calm down and go talk to the guys you never know, Chris is a prankster but I don't think he would prank him with Hanna. Ever.

"Hey guys so what the heck happened I caught up with Josh but he was extremely pissed" I say just looking at them. Exploding now wouldn't be the best thing right now. They told me everything about what happened how Josh persisted in finding answers and when things got weird he got mad cause he thought they were pranking him, they kept repeating that they didn't do it and they were scared but there was proof in the library about how Hanna and Beth died and why. I just raised an eyebrow knowing that they didn't do it but 'proof' I knew exactly how they died but I guess it would be best to go with them so that Josh has more time to calm down.

We looked through the library and found this secret room that was behind one of the bookshelves, we found disturbing things notes about Hanna and Beth and photos. I couldn't look I just waited for them to be done so we could tell everyone. Then the most scary thing happened; Josh screamed. I took off running to where the screaming came from, I kept thinking get to him before the killer does. I could hear Chris and Ashely yelling my name. Josh stopped screaming, I stopped in my tracks, oh please, please, please don't let him be dead. Ashley bumped into me and we tumble into the kitchen, Chris is just about to come in the kitchen but the door automatically closed. I get up helping Ashley as well, damn it the only source of light was from the moon, crap I tried flicking the lights on but they wouldn't turn on.

"What the hell?" I say going to the door trying to open it. Ashley comes over and helps, I smash my shoulder into it a couple time but it doesn't budge. Perfect. Ashley screams seeing a man with a clown mask coming towards us. I step in front of her taking her hand behind my back and quickly whisper to her

"When I say so I want you to run. Got it? Don't question it just run okay?" I could feel her squeeze my hand and let go. I watch the masked man, come on asshole just a little bit closer, little bit more,

"RUN!" I tell Ashley and I run to the masked man slamming my body into him. He stumbled to the ground I could see Ashely trying to get out the side door but it was locked I tried to get to her but the man grabbed my leg and I fell. I raised my leg and slammed it down hard trying to hit him but he blocked it and I hurt my leg. Crying out a bit rolling over in pain. While I was down he got up and ran over to Ashley knocking her out with some sort of face mask which I could only imagine it being filled with anaesthetic. I looked away for a minute and looked back to where Ashley's body was but the man wasn't. Shit! The doors open and in runs Chris. He sees me and comes over I just shake my head and nod my head to where Ashley's body was. His eyes went wide and ran over to Ashley, trying to get up was hard but I managed to stand up. The pain subsided and I started to lightly limb over to Chris until the man came out of no where and hit Chris with in the back of the head. Chris's body goes limp and this time I knew that I was at a disadvantage, fuck. I looked around to see if I could use anything and I remembered that in the kitchen right beside the sink was the knife's. I tried to quickly make my way to the knifes and as I just put my hand on the knife the man ran to quickly and grabbed my waist gently and put the mask on me. I thrashed trying to be free but the anaesthetic was too strong and my will power started to fade. Before I fell into darkness I felt lips on my forehead and him pick me up bride style. All I could think about was Josh and hoping that he got away safe and sound.

Sorry that its short I was in a rush and need to be somewhere so hope you like it and I'll make sure that the next ones are longer.
