I wake up with my head pounding. How did I get home? I feel someone beside me and after looking over, I see that its Kelli. Her light brown hair was shielding her face and her hands were gently pressed against my chest.

I let out a sigh. I'll have to tell her eventually.

As if on cue, her eyes flutter open and I'm suddenly being forced to stare into her icy green eyes. She blinks a few times before letting out a yawn. "Good morning," I tell her.

She removes her head from my arm and starts to sit up. "What time is it?"

I shrug. "I'm not sure. I just woke up."

She nods, standing from my bed. "Okay. Well, I should probably get going." Her brother will probably murder her if she stays over any longer.

I nod, giving her a smile. "Love you."

She places a kiss on my forehead. "See you later."

"Let me know when you get home," I call put.

She nods. "Will do."

A few minutes later, I hear the front door open and close. I stay in bed a while longer before getting up, letting out a groan. How much did I drink last night?

I take some Tylenol before heading down the stairs. I see Montana and she waves. "Good morning! I'm making breakfast."

The thought of breakfast makes me nauseous. "Sounds good."

A few hours later - after dropping Montana off at her summer school - I head to Connie's house. She had called about an hour after I finished taking a shower.

My heart pounds in my chest as I park in her driveway. Hopefully it's nothing. Maybe she just wants to make out again. Maybe she's just--

Any hope I had of this being a regular conversation slipped out of my mind whenever I she steps out into the porch, tears rushing down her eyes.

I curse under my breath before stepping out of the car. She rushes over to me before I could even utter a hello. She sobs against my chest for a few minutes. I know exactly what this means.

After a while, she looks up. I stare into her eyes for a while before letting out a frustrated sigh. Letting her go, I lean against my car.

"You're helping me, right?" she asks in a small voice.

I give her an incredulous look. "Seriously?" I demand. "I have a girlfriend, Connie. I can't just leave her because you were being stupid."

Her eyes water all over again. "You have as much blame as I do, Cody. This isn't completely my fault."

I curse under my breath. Maybe there's something you can do. Or--"

"I'm not getting rid of it," she says firmly.

"You're pregnant, Connie. We're not dating now. I shouldn't have to help you."

She grabs my arms, as if pleading. "Please, Cody," she says, her eyes searching. "I'll even tell Kelli if I have to. I'll do anything. Please just say you'll help me."

I just got Kelli to trust me again. I just got her to like me. "I'm not breaking up with her because you were being careless," I say harshly.

She lets go of me. "You don't actually mean that, right?"

I sigh after a while. "Listen," I say softly. "I'll tell Kelli. I don't know when. Probably before she leaves again. But I can't promise anything. If she decides to break up with me, then I'll help you. But if she, by some miracle, forgives me, then you're on your own."

She looks up, her eyes hopeful. "Really?"

I nod solemnly. "I'll see you in a few days."

She watches as I get in the car before going back inside. She gives a small wave and I let out a groan.

Reaching for my phone, I sigh. She answers on the third ring. "Hey, babe."

I don't say anything for a while.

"Are you okay?"

"We need to talk," I say quietly.

HEY!!! THIS IS THE SHORTEST CHAPTER IVE WRITTEN SO FAR. BUT I REALLY HOPE YOU LIKE IT. I MADE IT IN CODY'S POV RATHER THAN CONNIE'S BECAUSE HE EXPLAINS THE SITUATION BETTER THAN HER. BUT IF YOU WISH, I'LL MAKE ANOTHER CHAPTER IN HER POV.

PLEASE COMMENT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!!
