Xavier's POV

I smiled as I watched Celeste and Lesa talk.

When Lesa had introduced her self she flushed in embarrassment. Then she rambled on about how sorry she was for not looking better for meeting she. That's when I pulled back against her chest and whispered in her ear, "You look beautiful little one." Of course with her being her- she blushed turning her skin even redder.

My sister spent the first ten minutes gushing over how adorable Celeste was and how perfect we looked for each other and how her height matched mine perfectly.

"Why don't you guys come inside," she said. "You must be hungry. I doubt you've eaten this entire time that you've been out." I looked down to see that Celeste was fiddling with her sleeves again.

"It's fine, really." I shook my head and put my hand on Celeste's back, leading her into my sister's house. My sister smiled at Celeste and walked in before us but closed the door after us.

My sister is two years younger than me and is almost my complete opposite but I love her anyway. When she was seventeen she met her mate, after he moved in with his aunt and uncle in this pack, and a year after that she moved out of the pack house and into a little house towards the edge of the woods with her mate. My parents were upset, especially my father who had always considered her his little girl.

Christopher was a nice guy but not from the start. When Lesa first met him he had been dating another girl for over a year. He claimed that he loved her and ignored Lesa, not even acknowledging the fact that they were mates. About three months later Christopher's girlfriend went on a trip, met her mate, and never returned. Next thing you know his ex is pregnant, in another pack, and Christopher is happily dating Lesa.

It's a good thing too because my father threatened to break every bone in his body if Lesa stayed upset. And me. . . Let's just say I promised that he would ever be able to have children.

"Where's Christopher?" My sister blushed at the mention of her mate.

"In the shower but he should be out soon." I nodded and followed her to the kitchen, Celeste right by side.

"Who's Christopher?" Celeste spoke up.

"He's my mate," she said with a smile on her lips. She got a far away look on her face and I smiled, glad that my sister is happy.

We went into her dining room where she already had four plates laid out with chicken and rice. I laughed. Even if Celeste and I declined, Lesa wouldn't take it. She would probably force us into her house and then demand that we eat with her and Christopher.

"So Celeste," Lesa smiled, "tell me about yourself." Lesa looked happy to have the chance to get to know my little mate but before Celeste could answer Christopher entered the room. Lesa smiled her brightest smile possible but at the sight of him, Celeste stiffened.

Celeste started to back up but I stood in front of her, blocking her view of Christopher, and wrapped my arm around her.

"What's wrong little one?" She put her shaking hand on my chest and balled my shirt in her hand. She stuttered for a moment and Lesa put her hand on my shoulder.

"Is she okay?" I looked back at Christopher and scrunched my eyebrows together in confusion. Something about him made my mate freeze up. Something about him scared her and I promised to myself that no one would ever scare her.

I picked up Celeste bridal style and held her close to me. She still hadn't let go of my shirt and she was still shaking.

"No, but she will be. I'm sorry. Maybe we can have dinner together another time." Lesa nodded. I put my hand on Celeste's head, covering her view of everything else. I still left it to where I could see her face but her eyes were shut tightly. Her shaking was slowing subsiding but I could still tell she was scared. I nod at Christopher and walk out of the house.

I start to slowly walk back to the pack house and pay attention to Celeste's breathing. It had started out as quick and frantic, like when she was sick, and it worried me. But now it had started to calm down. Her grip on my shirt was still tight as she tried to pull herself closer to me. I pulled her closer and she sighed in relief.

When we came to the pack house I went straight up to our room, ignoring all the looks of curious and worried pack mates. I set Celeste on my bed but she didn't let go of my shirt.

"Don't let me go. Please Don't let me go."

"I wouldn't dream of it little one." I sat on the bed and pulled Celeste into my arms. I rocked her a bit and she seemed to calm down.

After awhile Celeste managed to go to sleep. Her grip on my shirt loosed and her hand fell to curl up against my chest. I gently stood up and lifted the blanket. I set Celeste down and handed her my pillow. She grabbed it and I smiled, pulling the blanket over her. I kissed her forehead before walking out of the room.

I walked down stairs to find Josh. I walked out to the patio to find him with Jake, like usual.

"Josh," I called out. He looked up annoyed, and he looked at me as if I had interrupted something important. "I need something and as soon as your finished you can get back to cuddling with Jake!" He blushed as Jake glared at me. Josh walked off but not before Jake grabbed his arm, pulled him back, and whispered something into his ear. Josh nodded and continued to walk towards me.

"What do you need Xavier?"

"Information on a pack member." He sighed in annoyance.

"Can't this wait until the morning- it's getting pretty late." It's true, the sky was already starting to get to the dark shad of midnight blue.

"I want the information before Celeste wakes up tomorrow morning."

"Xavier- what's going on lately." I sighed.

"Celeste. Ever since she got here things have been going a bit hectic. I just want everything to settle down and for her to be comfortable here. I thought that was happening until I took her to meet Lesa and Christopher today. As soon as she saw Christopher she froze and started to shake in fear. She didn't calm down until she fell asleep and I want to know why. Your my best tracker in every way so I want you to track his history. See if there is any way that he could have even crossed paths with Celeste.

"Report to me everything that you find. I want it on my office desk in the morning."

"Okay Xavier." I nodded and walked back inside. I walked upstairs to my room, hoping to just go to sleep with my beautiful little mate by my side.

When I got to the room Celeste was up with tears in the corner of her eyes. She was holding them back but I could tell her tired state was making that more complicated for her. She looked up at me and a tear slid down her face. I immediately went to her, scooting her over so I could lay beside her.

"You said you wouldn't leave me." I pulled her close and she held onto my shirt.

"I never left you little one. I was close by the whole time. I promise"

I got up, took off my shirt and pants, and laid under the blanket. I pulled Celeste close and kissed the top of her head.

"I won't ever leave you, not really."

I actually did it! I got a chapter up!

So I had a really bad week. I actually went upstairs after my fifth period just to find my friend so I could cry into her shoulder but today just brought up my spirits. I had a rummage sale at my school and I've been up since 4 30 but today was amazing. I even got a dream catcher making kit in the rummage sale!

I love ya'll by the way! But. . . Please be patient for the jealousy. Coming close but be patient.

Until next time- "Dear past, please stop tapping me on the shoulders. I don't want to look back."
