Xavier's POV
I stared at Celeste as she played with my fingers. I decided that today I would show her Mothers favorite place in the pack to go.
Now she was playing with my fingers as we walk along the tree line of the pack. We got to the farthest point away from the pack house and started to walk through the woods. I pulled Celeste in front of me as we walked into the clearing.
Within the clearing was a beautiful meadow that held hundreds of flowers in all different colors. Butterflies and birds flew around as if this place was heaven. When Celeste looked up her eyes lit with joy and I finally realized why Mother loved this place so much. Their expression are almost exactly the same.
I remember Mother used to take me here when I was younger. Then when y sister was born she would bring the both of us. Her face lit up whenever she took us and her smile got brighter. This was where I was taken when I started to shift. This was where my sister was taken for her first shift. This is where I will take my children to shift.
Mother always believed that if you are raised a certain way then you will end up that way. So she raised us to be good. She didn't want us to be completely uncomfortable when we shifted, fearing that, that would be the start to an awful future. That is why she took us here to shift. She hoped it would keep us on the good path and I'd like to believe it worked.
"Xavier," the sweet voice of Celeste pulled me out of my thoughts. "This place is beautiful." I smiled and pulled her back to my chest. She leaned her head back and looked into my eyes. "Thank you!"
"No problem little one." I kissed her forehead and enjoyed the blush that went up her neck. She broke out of my arms and ran forward. She started to gather flowers, one or two of every kind. I just sat down and watched, very content with seeing her happy.
"Hey Xavier." I looked behind me to see Lesa. I smiled at my sister as she sat down next to me. She has been doing well since she rejected Christopher. She is still upset some times but I can tell she is getting better. And that is saying a lot considering that she is pregnant.
I was the third person to know she was pregnant. The first was Zay, of course, considering she is the pack doctor. The second was Christopher right before she rejected him. The third was me. She had seemed so happy but then she cried, saying how her child was going to get raised in a broken home. That wasn't true though. She has me, Celeste, Zay, Jake, and Josh. We will all love her child and be an amazing family. She has nothing to worry about.
"So you showed this to Celeste?" I nodded and she smiled. "I'm happy for you big brother. She seems really sweet."
"The sweetest. She has been healing well so she should be slowly getting her energy back."
"That's good. Maybe one she has enough energy I can take her shopping with me. We'll go baby shopping, get her prepared for when you guys have a baby." I started coughing, choking on air.
"I don't think we'll be having children any time soon. She is still a child herself."
"How old is she?" I looked over at my sister who was playing with on of her purple strands of hair.
"Sixteen. She'l be seventeen soon though." She chuckled.
"She didn't tell you that, did she? You had Josh do some research." I nodded.
"He came across her family when he was searching for information on Chr-" I stopped myself. "Sorry." I looked away, looking at Celeste as she walked towards a tree. She walked out of my sight and I was about to go after her when I saw her small wolf run out into the clearing. I smiled as she started chasing the birds and butterflies.
"It's okay. You know, to say his name. It's not like he is Voldemort or something." I chuckled at her.
I watched as Celeste almost caught a bird but it flew away just before she grabbed its tail.
"What is she going to do? You know, while your busy. Her wolf is obviously hyper. She won't just stay in you guys room 24/7. She will start to want to do something." I nodded. Celeste and I talked about that the past few nights.
"She wants to help Zay. She wants to be able to look after the pack members without having to go away from the pack house. She feels comfortable there." Lesa nodded.
I got up and started to walk towards when Celeste laid down in the middle of the field. I picked up her small form and chuckled. She whined as I started to walk back towards the pack house.
"Don't worry little one. We can come back soon. I'll take you here any time that you want. I promise." She nodded and laid her head down in my arms. As we walked back I picked up the little bouquet that she had made and joined Lesa in walking back.
"Little one?" She looked at me. "Did you like it?" She smiled a wolf like grin and I chuckled.
"You two are so cute together, did you know that?" I looked over at my sister. Her smile was sad.
"Don't worry Lesa," I said in a comforting vice. "You will find someone one day. He will be better than Christopher ever was and he will love you and your child. You will find that happiness." I looked down at Celeste. She was my happiness. I had found her. I had found my happiness.
"Do you really think so big brother?"
I smiled. "I know so."
