A/N: This is a Your Breakup song preference, and most of them will be modern songs because I'm just too lazy to find 50s-60s songs. I hope you don't mind!

Darry: Yesterday by The Beatles.
You never told him really why you had to leave. You told him it was college, but he didn't believe you. He knew there was something out there, something more for you. But he still missed you.
Why she had to go? I don't know, she wouldn't say.... I long for yesterday....

Soda: White Horse by Taylor Swift. When the two of you were together, he was like your prince. You were in love with him, convinced that he was going to save you one day. Once he left, you realized that he wasn't anything but a regular guy. He had his own problems, and you knew it was foolish to think he would make everything better. When he tried coming back to you a year later, it was too late.
Now it's too late for you and your white horse to catch me now...

Ponyboy: Summer Love by One Direction.
When Darry Curtis told his two younger brothers that they'd saved enough money to go spend a month in Florida, staying at their aunt's summer beach house, Ponyboy and Soda were ecstatic! Soda couldn't wait to meet all of the hot beach babes, while Pony couldn't wait to soak up the hot sun with few good books. But then you came along. Your hair was lighter than normal, your face freckled from the sun, and wearing that new bikini that finally fit. You were at your best, and Ponyboy saw it. You were stunned by the bright green eyes looking up at your, and ended up tripping over some sand. Ponyboy helped you up, and that was the beginning of your relationship. You went out for the entire month before he disappeared back to Tulsa, and you never saw him again.
You were mine for the summer...

Dally: Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye and Kimbra.
You were high school sweethearts, and everyone knew you wouldn't last, except, maybe you. You liked each other enough, even considered yourself lucky for scoring such a man. But in reality, something always felt wrong. After you graduated, you told him the truth. That it wasn't right, the two of you wouldn't work out. He responded by telling you that he didn't care, and you never spoke again. You knew it wasn't true, and you knew in your heart that no matter what the two of you still cared for each other.
Told myself that you were right for me, but it felt so wrong... Now you're just somebody that I used to know...

Johnny:
Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal) by Fergie.
You had your own issues, as did Johnny, and you decided you didn't need to burden him with them anymore. Amid to his complaints, you decided you needed to work out your problems by yourself, and broke up with Johnny Cade, telling him that you'd always love him, but it was just too much.

I hope you know, I hope you know that this has nothing to do with you. It's personal, my self and I have some straightening out to do...

Steve:
Forget You by Cee Lo Greene.
You went out with a Soc. No one ever said you and Steve were "exclusive", so you didn't see the harm. That is, until Steve caught you with him, and a full out rumble started. Steve thought the Soc had picked you up, and that he was defending you, but when you explained to him that it was with your consent, he broke off your relationship. Maybe it was a misunderstanding on your part, but he felt like he was being cheated on, and didn't want that kind of situation.
I see you driving round town with the girl I love and I'm like "forget you" and "forget her too".

Two-Bit:
Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson.
It wasn't that you hated Two-Bit Mathews, no, you loved him a lot. You just didn't appreciate the clingyness, and it got to be a bit much. He always wanted to be around you, every minute of every day, and you never got any alone time. He'd sleep over at your house, and not let you out of his arms. He'd shower with you, eat every meal with you. Sounds like a typical serious couple, right? The only difference was that he'd even visit you at work. It was suffocating. You had no alone time, and you couldn't take it. As soon as you got home, he'd bring you to the couch where you'd cuddle and watch Mickey Mouse. He wouldn't let you out of his grasp. When you finally told him about this problem, he was hurt. He ended up breaking up with you, and sad as you were, you felt a weight being lifted off of your shoulders.
Since you've been gone, I can breathe for the first time.

A/N: IT'S BEEN FOREVER I HAD TO POST SOMETHING. But I honestly feel like people only care about how amazing relationships with the Greasers would be, so I'm trying to look at the other side... Did you enjoy?
