Imagine:

Johnny's POV:

Winter, December, and Christmas. Three of my least favorite things. Also, things that are going on right now. It's December 25th, and my parent's just told me to get out. I thought they'd at least let me stay the night, I mean, Christmas is supposed to be about family, and spending time with them, but I guess that doesn't matter to them. It's snowing, and I'm practically freezing to death. I don't have any other other family to spend the holidays with. Well, there is the Curtis Brothers and the rest of the gang, but I wouldn't want to bother any of them on Christmas. "Hey, Johnny!" A voice says cheerfully, making me jump. I was sitting in the lot, with my back up against a tree, but as soon as I see Emily, I'm up on my feet. "Merry Christmas! What are you doing out here?" She asks. I just shrug. My teeth chatter but I say, "Just... Thinking. What are you doing out in the cold?" I don't want to tell her the real reason I'm out here. I mean, I'm sure she already knows, but I don't want her to feel bad. "Fr-fr-freezing," She jokes, shivering. I look at her. She's in a white t-shirt with leggings and an elf hat. No coat. On instinct, I take off my jean jacket and put it on her shoulders. "Thanks, Johnny," She says, blushing. "Are you sure it's ok? I don't want you to be cold," She says after a moment. I just shrug. "I'll be ok." She smiles at me, grateful. Gosh, she's pretty. "So where are you spending Christmas?" She asks, hopping from foot to foot in hopes to gain some body heat. "In the lot," I mumble, staring at my feet. She gasps. "You can't! Why don't you come to the Curtis' with me?" She suggests. She's always been best friends with Ponyboy, so they must have invited her. "You don't think they would mind?" I ask shyly. Now, I already know they won't, but I wasn't invited. "Not at all. The more the merrier!" She exclaims. Then, she takes my hand in hers, and we walk together to the Curtis house. "Hey, Johnny! Hi Emily!" Everyone welcomes us. I look around the house. There's a huge Christmas tree, with presents all under it, and tons of decorations all over the place. Immediately, Emily plops down in the middle of couch. On one side of her is Ponyboy, and on the other side is her other best friend, Dariann. Next to Dariann, is Two-Bit Mathews, her boyfriend. His arm is around her, and she's snuggled against him. Immediately, though, the two of them (Emily and Dariann) are in a conversation. There's nowhere left to sit, so I decide to go in the kitchen, where Darry is slaving over the stove, cooking Christmas dinner. "You need any help, Dar?" I ask him. He shakes his head. "Nah, I think I've got it, Johnny. Thanks though," He says. I nod. "And you're sure you don't mind me being here?" I ask. Again, he shakes his head. "You know you're always welcome here," He tells me, before going back to his recipe book. Soon, I leave the kitchen. The couch is still full, and the only seats at the table are taken by Soda and Steve, who are playing cards. Dally isn't here, at all. "Hey, Johnny," Emily says, coming up to me. "What's up?" I ask. "Look up," she says in a flirtatious way. I do, and the first thing I see is mistletoe. I can feel my cheeks turning bright red as I stare into her eyes. Her golden brown hair looks perfect, and her eyes sparkle, begging her to kiss me. I put my arms around her waist, and pull her close. I stare into at her, trying to bring up the courage to actually do it, really kiss the girl of my dreams. But she does it first. He moves her lips closer to mine, until they meet. Soon, my hand is on her face, my thumb rubbing her cheek up and down. And when we're finished, everyone's staring. We both turn to look at them. And then there's cheering. I raise an eyebrow. "We knew it was going to happen sooner or later," Two-Bit says. "Yeah, you and Emily are perfect together!" Ponyboy exclaims. Now it's Emily's turn to blush. "Hey, Emily?" I ask, quietly. "Will... Will you be my girl?" I ask shyly. She nods. "I'd love to, Johnny." And then we kiss again. Another perfect moment, on Christmas Day, under the mistletoe, with my new, amazing girlfriend.
