Ponyboy Mini Imagine #1

He tells you he likes you

We'd sat next to each other in History class all year, but we barely ever talked. I'd commented on a few books that he'd brought to class, told him he did well the last time we'd done a project, but I was too shy to say anything more. I would just get so mesmerized by his green-grey eyes that I couldn't think straight. One day, he was looking at me funny, so I asked him what was up. It was obviously the wrong question, I saw him gulp in nervousness. "Y-you're just... really p-pr-pretty," he stuttered. I blushed.

"Thank you, Ponyboy," I responded with a smile.

"No problem. Hey, E-Emily? I really-" he started, but suddenly a blonde haired boy came up behind him.

"You got a good one, Ponyboy. How come we never met?" Ponyboy looked up at him, rolling his eyes.

"Shut up, Two-Bit," he mumbled.

"Aw, that's no fun. Hey, you must be Emily. Ponyboy's in loooooove with you," he teased. "He talks about you all the time." Ponyboy's face flushed an even deeper shade or red.

"Really?" I asked. I wasn't sure who it was directed to.

"Well, sure. Tell her, Pony," Two-Bit encouraged.

"Well, yeah. He's right. Uh, I'd better get going," he said, gathering his books. I gave him a funny look, wondering what was wrong. Embarrassment, probably.

"Wait, Ponyboy!" I called. Two-Bit smiled from next to me.

"See, Ponyboy? She looooves you too!" He exclaimed. I smiled nervously.

"I... I do," I admitted.

Two-Bit is a really fun helping character. Without him Pony probably would have gotten so nervous that he would have thrown up and then left and been so nervous that you never talked again! But with him there, you and Ponyboy started a long, healthy relationship that lasted years and years!
