You move in together

"Are you sure you're warm enough? I can get some more blankets out of the closet," Ponyboy said. It wasn't the first question he asked, and I was perfectly fine, but he was worried. Of course on the day we finally move into our house the gas gets shut off. It was on and working the whole week we were bringing boxes in, so we weren't sure what was going on now.

"I'm okay, baby. If you're cold though, you can get some more," I responded. He pulled me into his arms.

"I'm fine, I just want to make sure you are too." I smiled at how sweet he can be. Or really, how sweet he always is.

"I'm fine, really Ponyboy. Thank you." We'd never lived together before now, and I could tell he wanted everything to go perfectly. We weren't even engaged yet, and I wasn't planning on accepting a proposal, no matter how in love we are, until we've established our lives together.

"Are you comfy?" He asked. I laughed. This was getting old, wasn't it?

"You're cute," I commented. He blushed.

"I'm annoying you, aren't I?" He responded. I shook my head. He never really got on my nerves, I just wanted to go to bed and couldn't with him talking.

"Let's just sleep," I suggested, knowing that he had to go to work tomorrow. It was already 11:30 PM and we had to be up at 7.

"Okay, Emily. I love you," he said, shutting his eyes. He didn't let me out of his arms, and I wasn't complaining.

I opened my eyes next around 7:30 AM. We were already a half hour behind schedule, and if he didn't rush, Ponyboy would be late for his 8 AM work shift. It would be the first one he took all week, since we'd been busy working here.

I tried to shimmy my way out of his arms without waking him too suddenly, but he wouldn't let me go. I squirmed, so he held me tighter. I knew now that I had woken him up.

"Morning," I whispered, trying once again to get up.

"Stay," he muttered, still half asleep.

"It's 7:30, you have to get up," I said, kissing his neck. His eyes opened immediately, and he let my lips rub against him for a moment. "7:30?" He asked when I was done. I nodded. He groaned, but didn't get out of bed. I didn't either. It felt like snow had set in overnight, even though it was spring, and we were inside. It was just too cold.

"Let's just stay here today. We can tell my boss we're still moving in," he suggested. I sighed, we needed the money, but I liked the idea.

"Fine... but just for today," I answered. I handed him the cordless phone to call his boss, and then cuddled back into him.

"Let's go back to bed," I suggested. It was too early to be alive. He nodded in agreement.

"I love you, babe," he reminded me. He was always telling me that. I kissed him one more time before closing my eyes. Suddenly, we both shivered. Maybe I should have taken him up on those extra blankets last night.

A/N: I hope you guys aren't getting too tired of Ponyboy! Someone should really request a Soda or Darry or Two-Bit or Steve... :)
