Unexpected love

This is awkward.. Part 6

Zach buys us some popcorn to share and two sodas. We walk into the theater and take two seats in the middle row. We sit there awkwardly watching the ads they show before every movie......wow this is so awkward!

"so umm how are you?" he asks obviously trying the break the silence.

"Oh I'm great, you know the usual, i have work tomorrow. How about you?" He smiles sadly.

"well the usual too but for me... I don't really have to do anything. I work in the family company and all i do is sign papers and say hello to people. sometimes i wish we weren't rich, you know, i wish i was just some normal middle folk...." I stare at him full of sympathy and i smile.

"You seem like a really good guy you know?" he turns to me and smiles. He leans in. OMG?! what is he going to do?! i stiffen up.

"Thanks, but I'm pretty sure your a better person than i am." He whispers. My cheeks turn red.

"Why thank you, but i bet thats not true." He smiles. The movie starts and i turn to the screen smiling. Wow he's so amazing, it hurts that we won't be able to be more than friends. I look at him from time to time during the movie. Smiling at how the screen lights up his face in a perfect halo.

wow is that weird? I reach to get some popcorn without taking my eyes off the screen. He must have reached for some too because i find myself touching his hand. I yank my hand back.

"oh s-sorry" I say nervously. He looks at me.

"haha its ok, it's totally my fault. " He smiles. Ugh there's that perfect smile again! I smile back and take a sip of my soda. I feel something stroke my hair and i look at him in shock.

"Oh how rude, heh sorry, i ummm... a strand of your hair was poking out from your headband" He rubs the back of his neck and laughs nervously. Ugh he's so cute, now that i think about it, he always rubs the back of his neck when he's nervous. How cute!

I smile. "Oh thats ok, thanks."

We go back to watching the movie. I can feel him staring at me after a while so i look at him. Our eyes lock. My heart thuds. He stares at me and smiles.

"hey, umm remember when i told you how pretty you were at the park?" He smirks. I blush.

"hehe, yeah you were so funny!" He smiles at me and takes my hand. WHAT THE HECK?! My heart feels like its going to beat out of my chest!

"I wasn't joking." He whispers. He leans in and at that moment i just want to let him kiss me, but i know that if i get pulled in it will be a disaster. I look at my lap.

"Oh well thank you." i whisper. He notices and backs away.

"Sorry i didn't mean to scare you... i just suddenly felt the urge to kiss you.... Sorry" He says softly. I look up and stare at his beautiful green eyes. They are full of sadness and desire. I look at the screen hurriedly and slip my hand out of his and set it on my lap. Oh I'm so stupid!
