Jack Part 30

Julie's P.O.V:
*ring* my phone rings. I'm still half asleep so I just groan. I snuggle up closer to Zach and lucky starts licking my face. "Morning cutie!" I wake up and hug him. "I still can't believe I have an amazing pup like you boy." I grin when he wags his tail and barks. I look at the caller ID on my phone and it says unknown. I look at Zach, who is still sleeping and answer the phone as I walk into the kitchen. "Hello?" I ask, smiling at lucky who followed me.

"Umm...hey Julie."

I freeze at the sound of his voice. "Jack?"

"Yup, that's me...." He trails off.

"What do you want?" I ask trying to hide the annoyance in my voice.

"I uh...just wanted to see how you were.."

"How did you get my number?" I snapped.

"We used to go out. I still have your number Julie." I mentally face palm myself. "Look, I just want a chance to talk, maybe over some coffee?" He asks.

"As if!" I scoff.

"Come on Julie, please? I promise if you never want to see me after some coffee and maybe some dinner, I'll leave you alone." He says. He softly adds, "I just want a chance to prove myself to you. Like the note said, I'm still in love with you." He whispers.

"Ugh."

"Julie please!"

I look at lucky and mute myself. "What do you think lucky?" He wags his tail and nods his head, barking. "I'll take that as a yes?" Lucky hops and then rolls around on his back cutely. "AWWW!" I rub his belly and take off mute. "Fine, just coffee at Starbucks, your paying, I'm bringing my dog, and I'll meet you there at 3:00pm. Got it?"

I can practically sense him smiling. "Yes! Sure! Perfect! See you there!" He says happily. I roll my eyes.

"Bye."

"Thanks Julie, bye!" The receiver clicks. I hear Zach yawn from the doorway and turn to face him. "Hi." I say, smirking. I look down at his pants and see them starting to fall. I cover my eyes. "ZACH YOUR PANTS!" I yell, giggling.

"Oh shit, sorry. Belt must have unhooked....." He mumbles. I laugh as I hear the jingle of his pants and belt. "Done." He mutters and I peek through my fingers. He rubs the back of his neck.

"I'm going to feed lucky. Oh and I need to tell you something...."

"K what's up?"

"Ummmm I have a coffee not-date with Jack at 3....." He snaps awake and glares at me.

"What?!" He says not bothering to hide the frustration in his voice.

"Well, Jack invited me for coffee because he wants to apologize for...well...everything."

Zach's looks deep in thought.

"I'm taking lucky with me!" I add.

He kneels down and pets lucky to get his attention. "Sit." He demands softly. Lucky tilts his head but sits. Aww Zach even trained him before giving him to me? I smile. "What do you do if someone tries to hurt Julie?" He asks in a soft voice. Lucky stand up and starts growling, barking and baring his teeth at Zach who is pretending to act like the enemy. After a bit of growling Zach places a chew toy in front of lucky. "This is the thing that hurt Julie. What do you do?" He asks. Lucky growls and pounces on the toy. He snarls and bites at the toy angrily. "Good boy, sit." Lucky listens, drops the toy and sits. "Good boy!" Zach claps and hands him a treat. Lucky wags his tail and eats the treat. He begs for more. He pouts and whispers. SO FUCKING CUTE! "If you promise to take care of Julie you can have more." Lucky wags his tail and barks once, nodding Zach gives him another one, lucky happily eats it and rolls around cutely. Zach stands up and walks over to me. He hugs me and kisses my forehead. "Just say attack and point at Jack, lucky will pounce on him and you can run away. Lucky is a strong pup and after you're a safe distance away he is trained to escape and follow your sent. Be careful." He says softly. I hug him back.

"I'm so lucky to have you." I whisper and he chuckles.

"It's the other way around, sunshine." He kisses me and smiles. "Want something to eat before you leave?" I nod. "Go change, I'll cook." I put some dog food and water into two bowls for lucky before heading up to my room. When I get there I find Steph and Kyle on my bed. They are asleep and Kyle has his arms wrapped around her. She's snuggled up to his chest and the bunny is on the floor, lazily sleeping. I smile and tip-toe in. I open my closet softly and take out some clothes, I grab my towel and head to the bathroom. After I take a shower I change into some black, ripped jeans and a pink crop top. I put on pink lipstick and nothing else. I slip on some black heels and a pink bow. I put on some black, flowered earrings and a golden bracelet. I walk downstairs and sit in a chair while Zach serves me some pancakes. I eat them and Steph comes into the room, she rubs her eyes. "Umm..what....time.........is............it?" She yawns. I laugh and eat my pancake.

"Morning Steph. It's 2:00pm." I reply. She nods and then notices Lucky patiently siting in front of her, his tail wagging.

"HEY LUCKY CHARMS!" She squeals and hugs him. He wiggles out of her hold and licks her face. He then runs into the living room.

"Don't call him that you idiot!" She laughs. "It's just lucky." I add. She shrugs. "Where are you off to?" She asks, raising her eyebrow

"Coffee with Jack..." I answer quickly and drink milk.

"What?"

"Coffee. With. Jack."

"Does Zach know about his?"

Zach walks in. "Yes I do, and the only reason I'm allowing. It is because Lucky will kill him if he lays a finger on her." Zach chimes in. I hear Kyle chuckle as he wraps his arms around Steph.

"Maybe I should have gotten you a guard dog." He says.

"I can take care of myself, and I'm glad you got me kiko instead." She turns around in his arms and wraps her arms around his neck. She kisses him. "Thank you by the way."

"You've only said that like a million times." He complains. I laugh and we all chat and laugh before I leave at 2:50pm. This is going to be fun. Just kidding. Coffee with Jack will definitely not end well.
