Unexpected love

Are you kidding me?! Part 3

Julie's P.O.V:

I sip my coffee and start to walk home. Hmmmmm. I'm lost in thought, thinking about that guy. Suddenly I stop right in front of a pole. HOLY CRAP! I could have run into this pole, well ,no shit sherlock, I'm so stupid.. wow that would have been embarrassing.... I turn around and lean on the pole so I don't look like an idiot.

I drink the last of my coffee put it in the trash and start to walk home again. As soon as I turn there's someone in front of me. Whoa!

"Excuse me miss...ummm just asking but do you happen to have any food? Please I'm so hungry." An old beggar stood in front of me slightly crouched.

"Oh, well I don't have any food but here." I hand him a 20 dollar bill. He backs away.

"No,thank you but I made a promise that I would only take food, I don't want to be reduced to begging for money." He smiles sadly at me and starts to walk away.

"Wait! Are you sure?" He nods and smiles at me again.

"Oh...give me a sec then sir!" I rush into a near by Starbucks, and buy him a large Cappuccino, a dozen croissants and a $50 gift card....I know this is a little much...but hey, he's so nice. And plus, I got payed extra this week and I've never needed extra cash and it's for a good cause.

I beam with happiness as I walk out the door. The man stands there rubbing his hands together to keep warm. He looks so cold. I take off my gloves and hand them to him.

"Here, keep them I have a hundred of them at home anyways!" He happily takes them.
"Oh and here" I hand him the bag of croissants (with the gift card gently tucked inside so he won't reject it) and the drink. He stares at me in disbelief.

"I-I don't know what to say! Bless you, bless you!" He starts to cry.

"oh no please don't cry, it was my pleasure!" I smile at him and say good bye. He waves as I leave and I see him nibbling on a croissant. When I get home I'm about to walk in when I notice a limousine outside.

What the heck? Must be the rich guests! I walk in, take off my boots and start to walk into the kitchen. It's about 3 o'clock pm and the guests are probably here already!

Oops! I walk in and see my mom. She smiles at me and says

"the guests are in the the living room." I nod and walk into the living room. I immediately freeze, shocked.

"Julie!! Oh how are you darling?!" Lucy stands up and gives me a hug and smiles.

"Oh I'm fine, how are you?" I ask

"Oh I'm doing just fine! This is my son Zachary!" I turn my attention to the man. He stands up and he looks just a shocked as I am.

Are you kidding me?! This is the guy I spilled coffee on! I awkwardly put out my hand and force a smile. He takes my hand and slowly lifts it up to his face. What the fudge?!   

He kisses the back of my hand gently and says
"it's a pleasure to meet you Julie." He smiles and looks at his mother. She nods approvingly. I stand still, shocked. My mom comes in with fresh baked cookies and four cups of coffee.

Wow. I just met the guy from the park! Great. There goes my  chance to date this guy. Yeah, it would never work out. I fake a smile and notice zach looking at me a lot then blushing and looking at his lap. Awwww he's so cute! It's a shame...
