The school day had finished and we were on our way back home on the bus. Surprisingly Ashleigh and her group hasn't said anything to me all day. And a couple of girls in my classes would come over and say hi to me; something that they would never had done before. I felt my confidence increasing and I no longer felt like the unknown girl that no one talks to. Things were better.

Me and Lauren got off the bus and started to walk to her house. I still hadn't given up on getting her to like me. I wasn't going to lie, I am completely in love with her. She already means the world to me. She's beautiful, smart, caring. Just perfect. Tonight was it. I was going to ask her out. But I was going to do it properly. I glanced over to her. Her long blonde hair flowed over her shoulders and her bright blue eyes shone from underneath her long eyelashes. She looked up at me and caught me staring at her so I quickly looked away hiding myself from blushing. I heard her giggle slightly. She had a cute giggle,
"Ahh!" She shouted as she lost balance after tripping over a lodge in the pavement. I held my hands out in front of her and she fell into my arms.
"Are you ok?" I asked.
"That was embarrassing...yeah I'm fine."
Her face went bright red. It was cute. I held onto her till she regained her balance and started walking again. I took a deep breath and slowly slipped my hand into hers. Our fingers intertwined. Luckily she didn't pull away, instead she tightened her grip.
"Don't fall again." I told her causing her to blush again.
"I wont." She replied letting out a laugh.
We soon arrived at her house and we knocked on the door ready to be greeted by Lauren's social worker, Karen.
......
After I had given Paul and Karen my mums phone number and details and confirmed everything we were walking back to mine. Now that Lauren was in a care home everything had become much more complicated. Her social worker had to know who she was with, where she was going, what time she'd be home etc... She didn't seem to mind though.
We arrived at my house and I put the key into the lock and held the door open as she walked in.
"Welcome back." I said.
She gave a small giggle. "It's feels good to be back."
I had to finished off what I had planned for her later so I brought her into the living room and chucked the remote down next to her.
"Watch what you want on tv, i'll be right back." I told her.
She simply nodded her head and I rushed up to the room to prepare everything.

I switched on the tv and the news flashed on. I then proceeded to take off my tie and stuff it into my blazer, then take off my blazer so I was left in a white shirt which was neatly tucked into my black skirt. I hoped I looked decent. I hurried over to a mirror hung on the wall and looked at my reflection. I saw so many imperfections. I tried covering them up by reapplying my mascara and eyeliner then applying a light shade of pink lipgloss on my lips. It hardly made any difference. I sighed back at the reflection and sat back down on the sofa.
"A man and a woman in their early 30's were found dead this morning in their house in London. Investigators of this incident say it was due to an overdose on heroin and...." The news presenter started to inform.
Hold on, that looked like my old house!
My thoughts were interrupted when I was greeted by Josh who was leaning on the door way.
"Ready for your surprise?" He asked.
I nodded my head and gave a big smile as he took my hand and led me upstairs
