The bus stopped down a road with some really big expensive looking houses. We got off and started walking. I gazed up at the big mansions, dreaming of what it would be like living in one of them.

"Thanks again Josh, for you know, everything." I said feeling like I hadn't done enough for him.

"You're welcome, you don't have to keep thanking me though." He laughed.

"But you've done so much for me already, and you've only known me for like 2 weeks."

"It feels like I've known you for ages." He looked me in the eye as he said it.

I giggled and looked towards the floor, trying to hide myself blushing.

We finally approached his house. It looked beautiful from the outside. Josh opened the tall black gate to reveal a small fountain stood in the middle of the bright green lawn. A long winding bricked path trailed up to the large White House with a black door that had the number 22 marked on the front. There were rose bushes against the side of the walls and 2 tall sunflowers that stood either side of the door. Josh knocked on the door and my whole body froze. I was nervous to meet his parents. What if they didn't like me? The door opened and a small fragile looking woman with long dark hair that reached half way down her ribs greeted us. She was pretty and wore heavy makeup. She pulled Josh into a hug, then stretched out a hand with red painted nails.

"And you must be Lauren. I've heard so much about you." She said with a massive grin, looking over to Josh and giving him a wink. He blushed.

"Yeah, it's nice to meet you...Mrs Stephens?" I replied shaking her hand.

"Miss Stephens, but you can call me Emily." She corrected me. "Please, do come in."

She welcomed me into her home. It was even more beautiful in the inside. The cream coloured walls in the hallway made it look clean, with the glass chandelier hanging from above. It looked like the home of a millionaire. In front of the hallway was a staircase that split at the top. To my left was what looked like a living room and to my right, a dining room leading to a kitchen.

"Wow" I gasped. "Your house is amazing"

"Oh it's nothing special, but thank you dear." She said gently patting me on the shoulder before walking into the living room.

I turned round to face Josh. He gave me a big smile. I had so much to thank him for and I was so grateful and happy to be staying with him.

Before I could stop myself I ran over to him and gave him a big hug. When I finally released, we were face to face.
