I woke up early that morning very tired; even though I had gone to sleep early the night before. I dragged myself up from the bed and walked drowsily downstairs into the kitchen. I made myself some cereal before I was greeted by Charlie and Max: who just gave me a smile. After I had finished I put my bowl in the dishwasher and walked up to the bathroom to get ready. I then proceeded into washing my face and applying my makeup. I wanted to look decent. I felt like I had someone to impress now. Josh.

After I had pulled on my uniform I grabbed my school bag off my desk and checked I had everything before dashing out the door to meet Josh at the bus stop. I sent him a quick text.

**Hey, I've just left. On my way :) x**

I slipped my phone into my pocket and carried on my way. About 2 minutes later I got a reply.

**Ok babe. I'll see you soon :) x**

I felt my heart skip a beat when he called me 'babe'. I couldn't help but smile as I walked. I felt stupid just casually smiling away to myself.

I soon arrived to see Josh leaned against the bus stop. When he saw me he stood up straight and shoved his hands into his trouser pockets. His messy brown hair fell perfectly around his face which made him look hot.

"Hey" I called as I approached him.

"Hey." He repeated, pulling me into a small hug.

"You ready?" He asked.

"Yep"

We both got onto the bus as it arrived. I swiped my oyster as we went to the upper deck to find seats. I had totally forgotten about Ashleigh after everything that had happened. Luckily her and her group weren't on our bus. I was wondering if they'd be in school toady. On the bus, Josh tutored me on the Science exam we both had today and I hadn't had time to revise. I was sure I was going to fail.

"Get it now?' He asked after having explained it for the 3rd time.

"Umm..yeah" I replied.

"Really?" He questioned again, knowing I had lied.

""Umm..."

"Here, I'll go through it again and you can point out the bits your stuck on." He said flicking back through the pages off the revision guide.

He had a lot of patience.

About an hour later we arrived at the school. I started to feel nervous. As we walked through the gates and through the school entrance I felt like everyone's eyes were on me and everyone was whispering about me. I felt like I was going back to that 'quiet kid that no one talks to'. Josh must have seen my nervousness as he took my hand and squeezed it slightly and gave me a reassuring smile. I felt safer around him.

I turned the corner to see Dylan at the end off the corridor with a group of girls. His eyes instantly locked onto me and Josh holding hands. Then I realised who the girls were. The tallest one with long blonde hair which obviously were fake extensions. A pink Paul's boutique bag with a matching pink Paul's boutique coat and a skirt which was hardly visible below her school blazer. Ashleigh and her group.
