I had ropes around my wrists and ankles. I felt them loosen up. I freed my hands and feet and looked at Vegeta, who had clearly just untied me. "How did you do that?" I said.
"It doesn't matter. Just grab Ayumi and get to Earth, get the dragon balls, and get rid of Zarbon's immortality," he said.
"Vegeta, I'd love to, but you know he'll stop us before we can get them all," I said.
"That's why I'm not coming. I'll stay here and hold him off," he said.
"N-no. You can't," I said.
"(Y/n), I'm staying here, I'll wait for you to collect the dragon balls, I'll kill Zarbon, and then I'll be back," he said.
"It's too dangerous," I said. He forced his lips onto mine.
"I'll be fine," he said. "Now go."
I picked up Ayumi out of the crib. "Vegeta," I said. "Please, stay safe. I love you."
