"Shut it, Nappa! We have to be quiet!" I heard Raditz say in a hushed yell. Vegeta and I both shot up from our sleep.
"What the hell are they doing here?" Vegeta said.
"Let's go check on Ayumi," I said.
"You go first, I'll follow," Vegeta said.
I quietly walked into Ayumi's room to see Raditz and Nappa trying to take her from her crib. I made a throat clearing sound and said "Can I help you?"
"As a matter of fact, you can," Raditz said. "You see, Lord Frieza wants this little girl, and Zarbon wants you."
"Well it looks like nobody's getting what they want," I said. I charged up a ki blast. "Now if you could just get going, that would be great."
"As long as we can take you with us," I heard a deep, scratchy voice say. Shit. Zarbon's here. So is his transformation.
"Oh okay. I assume you're talking to Raditz and Nappa," I said.
"Sorry, dear," he said, gripping my arm, "that was for you."
"Get the hell off of me," I said. He tightened his already painful grip on me.
"Big bang attack!" I heard. I looked up to see Raditz and Nappa just gone.
"So what are you gonna do? Kill me and your wife?" Zarbon said. Vegeta had a blatant look of confusion on his face. I elbowed Zarbon in the gut, causing him to loosen his grip enough so I could free myself. I fired a lethal blast at him.
The dust cleared for me to see something I was not expecting.
