Hello, I'm the lie
Living for you so you can hide

Vegeta's been in the hospital for a few hours. He passed out right before he got stitches. They're keeping him here for a little while.

I haven't left the bedside since we got here. I don't want him to do anything stupid to himself. "(Y/n)," I heard him say quietly. I glanced over, he was awake... kinda. I gave him a fake smile.

"You're finally up," I muttered.

He sighed. "You don't have to pretend like you're happy, you know," he said. I felt my smile fade away. He started to sit up.

"Vegeta, don't strain yourself," I said.

"I'm fine," he said. He still doesn't sound like himself. He sounds down, even for him.

I stood up and hugged him tightly the moment he got on his feet. I felt him wrap his arms around me. I felt tears coming to my eyes. "If you ever scare me like that again I will kill you!" I said, in tears. I felt him running his fingers through my hair, trying to comfort me. A sob came out.

"(Y/n), I-" he said, getting interrupted by me.

"Where have you been this whole time? We all thought you were dead! Is that even you?" I said. I regretted asking. I might actually go insane if this is an android or some shit.

"I was on 276, I fell asleep waiting for Zarbon. I woke up on some weird planet. I wasn't sure how I got there, so I didn't have a way out. After who knows how long, I convinced the... whatever damn species they are... to let me come back to Earth," he said.

I clung to him tighter. "You swear?" I said.

"Why would I lie to you?" he said. I kissed him on the lips. Man, it's been 3 damn years since I kissed my husband. "What did I miss?"

"You should see Ayumi, she's so big!" I said. "She's gotten so pretty. You know, like me." (Note: if I see one comment saying "I'm not pretty" Imma call you a liar because guurrl you are gorgeous!)

We ended up falling asleep together in the hospital bed, talking about what's been going on since we last saw each other. I missed him more than I've ever missed anyone.
