Honey
Although, Q was pissed off about the shit with Mia. Here we were, sitting in her room. Q said it was only because of Seem, but I knew part of him was worried as well.
The doctor told us that Mia had a lot of scarring from where Courtney rammed the gun inside of her. Thankfully, it was only scarred tissue. Q made Mia press charges against Court. I don't blame him. If I had to save an ex, I would be shitting if they were considering not pressing charges.

"Why would you stoop that low though Mia?"

She looked at me, then rolled her eyes. I wasn't the one she needed to be concerned about.

"I trapped you, and I wanted to tell you. However, you wouldn't leave her alone- so I said fuck it. I went away, and had Seem. I was always messing with Court. I was addicted to the life he lead. He wasn't always abusive. It only started after Seem." She mumbled.

Q looked at her, but it wasn't any compassion in his eyes. He looked like he could give two fucks about her reasoning.

"Okay, but you didn't think I had a right to be in my sons life?"

She looked away fiddling with her fingers.

"I wasn't ready to explain that I trapped you into becoming a father. How is that explainable?" She snapped.

Q grip tightened on my hand. I rubbed the back of his hand with the pad of my thumb.

"If it's not explainable, why the fuck would you do it? Then not tell me. I damn sure don't respect how my son got here. However, I love him all the same. I don't want to respect you, but I have to because of Seem. If I don't he will go through life thinking just because dad treats mom like shit...it's okay for me to do the same. I refuse to allow that.

He rubbed his free hand on his pants, and wet his lips with the tip of his tongue.

"I also want a dna test" he finished, looking at her.

She looked shocked

"I'm not taking anything you say at face value. I want solid proof that he's mine."

She nodded her head like she was a child being scolded. I wanted to have sympathy, or feel bad for her. I couldn't, simply because she seemed less than apologetic about the whole situation.

"The doctor said I could leave in a few days. Possibly the weekend. My sister is coming to pick me up. We can schedule something then. But, leave her home" she snarled, cutting her eyes.

I shifted, and Q's grip got tighter than before.

"I'm not leaving her anywhere. This situation pertains to her as well. She's my girlfriend, and whether you like it, or not she will be a major factor in Seem's life. Plus, you should say thank you. O has been taking care of Seem since the incident." He retorted, shaking his head.

She stared between the two of us for s moment.

"Why should I be thanking her? She's only doing what you've trained her to do. I mean, if you asked her to bark....the bitch probably would. Should change her name to Molly, it fits better."

By now I was shaking. I was sitting on the edge of my chair getting ready to pounce. To think I was going to see about my dad letting her live in one of the condos. At least, until she was stable enough to provide for her and Seem.
