The most mysterious thing about our existance is the choices we make. Each individual choice we make affects our life in some way. That could be a simple choice of which outfit to wear, or as large of a choice as a career option. Each decision, no matter how small, can end up defining who you are. For example, what if, one ordinary day, a woman called Regina had not chosen to save the life of a helpless little girl who was stuck on a an out of control horse? What if one of the guards had managed to ride ahead and saved the little girl instead?

Well, I can tell you, Regina never got asked to marry the little girl's father, therefore had never met the handsome stable boy that she would have fallen for and Regina never needed to get revenge on Snow White for telling such a secret to her mother.

As they say, true love will always find a way, and Snow White's carriage driver became ill one day and they had to stay the night at a small farm that just so happened to be the property of David, or, as Snow likes to call him, charming. The carriage driver was not fit enough to continue with their journey for a good week, so charming offered for them to stay as long as they needed. Charming and Snow had a chance to bond during that week, and found themselves falling for each other, even if they didn't like to admit it at first.

They eventually got married and, when Snow's father had died, became King and Queen of a rich, prosperous kingdom. Soon after, Snow gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Emma Swan.

And so our story begins a day before the 18th birthday of the highly treasured Princess.
