Chapter 3: Marissa.

Devon smiled as she seen her on family there when she reached her house, well that's what she thought. Natalie smiled at her and passed their daughter Ariel over to Andrew before running to Devon.

"I've missed you!" She squealed while wrapping Devon in a hug and kissing all over her face making Devon giggle at her crazy Cousin. Walking into the house as Natalie spoke about what's been happening while she was away but Devon jumped in surprise when everyone shot up screaming 'Surprise.' As Devon just screamed. Everyone laughed at Devon's face, but stopped when Ariel started crying from the surprise too. Devon looked around the familiar faces from her town and her friends ran to her two of them squealing as they where more girler than the ginger one who rolled her eyes at the over dramatic girls.

"Sup, Lovato." Was all Sabrina said. She was the most like Devon, always got into trouble, didn't care what people thought and was partners in crime. Devon knew Sabrina from a young age and she used to help Devon hide from her dad when they was younger. She had ginger, curly hair with big brown eyes that always held a mischievous glint in it as she loved the feeling of running away from police and getting into trouble. It gave her an adrenaline rush as it did to Devon. Their criminal records was huge but Devon loved it, she wasn't one of those over dramatic, stuck up bitches with a lot of make up on her face. She didn't like that but just so happens to be friends with the 2 girls that just described them, over dramatic, lots of make up, didn't like getting dirty but was never sluts.

Amy and Mia was the kindest people she knew off and even when they hated seeing Devon and Sabrina getting into trouble, they never left there side. They'd end up running with them. Amy was blonde but surprising was very clever, she had blue eyes and had the perfect white teeth and hair that was straight but Amy curled it as she hated her hair straight. Mia was brown haired, hazel eyes and hair was always straight she wasn't very smart but had some common sense when it came to doing dangerous things and money.

They was all 15 years old, with Devon, 15 years old and the most immature of the group. Sabrina, 14 years old and second immature. Mia was 15 years old and Amy was 15 years old but was nearly coming up to her 16 birthday as she was the most mature and always got them out of trouble. You would think Devon was going to be mature because of what she went through but wasn't, Amy had a theory for her immatureness. She always said 'She never had a good childhood so she's making up For it now, acting out. Or she has got used to her father saying words like 'your a failure.' She's probably believed it over the years and thinks she isn't going anywhere in life apart from jail.'

"Sup, Knowles." Devon smirked as Sabrina's face turned into a scowl. As she hated her last name which was her moms, who was an alcoholic and left her a long time ago. She had no dad which she'd never heard off and because she was alone Natalie took her in by that was after her and Devon was passed from foster care to homes.

"Shut it!" She snapped. Mia kept hugging and kissing Devon's cheek as Amy rolled her eyes at her. Mia had a crush on Devon for years and even when Devon told her she never swung that way she'd still try, in the end Devon gave up and just left her to keep being close to her.

"Alright, Mia. Nice to see you too." Devon smiles, uncomfortably at the girl who instantly blushed as she knew she took her excitement too far. Lip stick stained Devon's cheek leaving Amy to wipe it off for her and gave her a quick hug. Now looking away from her friends the party had began and children was running around as the adults were talking. Natalie motioned Devon to come forward to meet her co-workers, Devon obliged and worked over as Natalie's arm snaked around her little cousin. A proud smile of Natalie's face from how far her little cousin had come but knew the battle wasn't over, everyday was going to be a battle in her head it hurt her knowing she didn't know what to do for her cousin as it was all in her head, the demons.
