Devon walked towards a gun range, she only knew what it was because of the big sign at the top of the building. She furrowed her eyebrows before turning to her mom who watched her daughter for a reaction.
"Why're we here?"
"I asked Sabrina all the things you love doing, she told me shooting was one of them which I found weird but if you like it then I'll do it with you." Diana smiled however Devon sensed the fear in her voice, indicating that her mother didn't like guns.
"Okay..." Devon dragged on as they walked into the building, she'd never been into a shooting range before because, well if they ever needed to shoot anything it'd be a person not a practise target.
"Nice." Devon muttered as she seen all the different guns on the wall, itching to grab them Devon looks away so she wouldn't. However, now she knew exactly where to get guns from incase anything happens there, she was going to steal them from this place.
"Hello, what guns do you want to shoot today?" A man walked up to them, tall and buff that even Devon feared him a little but once she walked to the window to see every person in there falling to his the target she smirked.
"Oh, I don't know anything about gu-" Devon turned away from the window and back to her mom and the man, cutting her off.
"I want to shoot with colt anaconda .44 magnum revolver, a launcher, pistol and have you got any shot guns because I don't see any here." Devon frowned while the man took a step back in shock at how the 15 year old new her guns. While Diana struggled to remember the types of guns she just said.
"You know your guns honey, but are you sure you can use them?" The man chuckled Ashe walked over the the desk, getting all the guns Devon mentioned, including the shotgun Devon hadn't seen with earmuffs and a bullet proof vest. "Don't call me honey, and I'm sure." The man only shrugged as he continued getting bullets out from the box and leading them over towards their target.
"Why do I need that?" Devon questioned as he got Diana's stuff ready but she was hesitant on putting anything on.
"Incase you accidentally shoot your toes." The man chuckled at his joke before Devon didn't wait a minute, she grabbed the revolver and quickly put bullets in before shooting at the practices head.
"You haven't got your bullet proof vest on." The man folded his arms cautiously, not wanting to back down to the girl but from how she shot at the target quickly and perfectly he didn't know what to say.
"I don't need one." She replied before turning to help her mom who was struggling putting it on.
"Why are these things so heavy?" Diana groaned as Devon pulled it over her shoulder and fastened it for her, "better than getting shot." Devon smiled when Diana put the earmuffs on.
"Aren't you putting yours on?" Diana shouted, not knowing that she was due to the earmuffs.
"I've gotten used to it. I'll be fine." Devon replied, they didn't talk for the rest because Diana squealed whenever she took a shot while Devon laughed shooting perfectly at every target.
The man came back once again to make them sign a form which says they won't be responsible for any injuries or death. Then, after hours Diana thought it was enough and they could go home since Devon was getting bored of shooting however a glint in her eye showed how she loved guns. Even thought Diana didn't, she tried to make it the best possible day for her daughter and she thought she loved it since Devon couldn't stop smiling.
"So, do you want to go and eat?" Diana asked as they walked to the car, knowing that neither have ate and both were hungry.
"Yeah, wait did I bring a jacket?" Devon halted as she tried to remember if she did or not.
"Didn't you bring your black jacket?"
"I might of, let me run back and get it." Diana nodded as she skipped into the car seat while her daughter ran back through the doors of the now closing place.
"Ay! Is anyone still here?" Devon shouted around the now empty place but not getting a response in return. She rushed behind the counter when seeing the black jacket still awaiting for her but still not rushing since the guns she had taken from the place was in her jeans.
"Well, well, well." Devon froze in her place, not daring enough to turn around and face the person but she already knew who it was from the voice. Her jaw clenched as she tried to remain calm about the situation however anybody could notice her fear.
"John, Ross. How've you been?" Devon decided to go with her cocky self as she spinner on her heal to greet the two guys who was glaring at her however both kept smiles on their faces.
"Look what we have here, our little runaway." The mans dangerous eyes glared at her but his lips held a smile, it's what he always done, confused people before killing them. Devon's hand slowly reached the side of her jeans and was ready to shoot if any harm came to her. Although the shaking in her hands and the rapid heartbeat was telling her she couldn't.
Come on Devon. You've been in this situation before, this isn't for you, it's for Sabrina. Devon thought as she smiled back at the two dangerous guys who held guns to their side just like Devon's, but they couldn't see hers.
"Our little runaway? Huh, is that what their now calling me. I preferred bullseye much better." Every gang across London had known her as 'Bullseye' due to her never missing a shot, people would say she could use it to her advantage but she never did like killing people. However every person at different foster cares across London would know her as 'Sneaker'. Devon always acted tough around the gang, otherwise she would die but everybody knew that it wasn't the case if they lived with her.
"I preferred to call you stupid little bitch but boss said its not nice to talk about our best shooter. Now, here's what boss wants you to do...." The man started, trapping her into a corner as he leaned against the desk bored while she was backed up against the wall. "You've got to make up an excuse to return back home otherwise this time a stab wound to your stomach won't be all. I'll kill you." The man traced Devon's scar across her stomach and she flinched away from him as the cold metal gun touched her skin.
Without thinking twice she smirked, lifting her lips towards his ear, "Go to hell." Hastily, Devon pulled the gun out of her jeans and before any of the two had time to react a large gun shot rang out. Ross fell to the floor with a bullet found to his head but Devon didn't see John rush towards her.
"You little slut! We saved you from your dad." John gripped her hair tightly and pulled her onto the floor, giving him an advantage he kicked her stomach multiple times cause all of the air to be sucked from her body and a loud whine to fall from her lips in agony. John brought his fist down to her face and just before he connected with her nose, she rolled across the floor making him hit his hand against the solid floor and a loud crack to be heard from his hand.
"No, you killed Jasmine!" Devon pressed the gun down and once again a loud bang rung out before a scream of pain erupted from the mans mouth. She'd shot him in the stomach.
Devon panted as she got up of the dirty floor, looking up she noticed the guts already turned the cameras of which was a good sign. Without thinking she ran out of the place, running to Diana in the car who was on her phone not noticing her daughter who was breathless, a gun in her hand and drops of blood on her shirt.
Devon looked terrified of herself.
"Drive! NOW!" Devon screamed and instantly a screech from the tired was heard as Diana struggled to pull out of the parking lot so fast before speeding away from the now crime scene.
Neither spoke but Diana was too scared to, her 15 year old daughter was sitting with a gun in her lab and tears fell from her eyes but no sobs escaped.
Devon felt numb, she'd done the one thing she promised herself not to do.
Kill again.
