5. Reason

* six years later *

Jim's POV

The taping of an episode of Season 7 of The Big Bang Theory is finally over. I can't believe how successful this show has been. It has won an incredible amount of awards, and I've won many awards playing my character Sheldon Cooper. Never did I imagine that I would be able to achieve something like this.

"Hey, Mayim," I say, walking towards her. "Will you ladies go pick Amelie up so that you can hang out with her like you always do?" I ask.

The ladies from the cast, Mayim, Kaley, and Melissa now hang out a lot with my best friend in the entire world, Amelie. Yes, Amelie and I are still the best friends in the entire world, now more than ever. And yes, I am still in love with her. The problem is that Jason and Amelie, are still together. They have been together for more than seven years now, and they are living a very happy relationship. The fight between Jason and I is still happening, and Amelie doesn't even know. She thinks we are okay with each other.

"Yes we will," she says. "I am just waiting for Kaley and Melissa to be ready, so that we can go pick her up from the lab."

"Ok, great. Have fun," I say. I needed Mayim to tell me this. With the years, I've gotten closer to Simon. He is the one I feel the most comfortable with when talking about Amelie, since Kaley and Amelie are very close now. I can trust Kaley and I know she won't say a word, but I feel better talking with Simon now, and today we are going to go to a bar to talk, so I need Amelie to be distracted.

I walk over to my dressing room and change from Sheldon's clothes to my clothes, when I hear a knock on my door.

"Come in," I say.

"Hey, Jim." It's Simon.

"Oh, hey, Simon," I say, looking at him and then turning back around to fix my things.

"So," he starts, "where will we go?"

"I was thinking about a bar, somewhere were we can talk and there is no risk of someone, I mean a woman who could now her, listening to us. Just men around, you know?"

"Sure, sure," he says.

"I'll just go home to take a shower and I'll meet you there in like an hour?"

"That's great."

"Thank you very much, man," I say.

"Oh you don't have to thank me."

We smile and go out the door. I am glad to have a friend like Simon.

Amelie's POV

I am at the lab with Jason, working on some theories. Jason and I have been together for a very long time now and he comes to the lab to help me sometimes.

"What do you think about this equation?" I ask.

"What the hell is that?!" he says, laughing.

I laugh. "You don't get it do you?"

"No!" he says, hugging me from behind. Like Jim, Jason is about a head taller than me. I'm small compared to these two men.

"So, listen," he starts. "I wanted to ask you if you would like to go to Switzerland with me tomorrow, for more than a week."

I turn to look at him, taking his arms off my shoulders.

"Tomorrow?"

"Yes, just you and I, to the Swiss Alps."
