* Five months later *

Jim's POV

I give Otis a gentle stroke on the head, and stand up from my bed. Time to get dressed. I look at the clock on my desk and I see that it is 8:31 am. I should meet Amelie at her house at 9:00 am to go with the travel agent, and check the last details of the trip, since we are leaving in one week.

I shot of excitement runs through me, as I think about the trip. It will be so much fun! And then...anxiety. Emmys are tomorrow, and nervousness has been eating me all this past week.

I run to my closet, take my pajamas off, and put on a pair of jeans and my red, 'Happiness' t-shirt. Amelie loves this shirt.

I quickly brush my teeth, my hair, and leave.

A few seconds later, I arrive at Amelie's house, and knock on the door.

*knock *knock *knock "Amelie."

*knock *knock *knock "Amelie."

*knock *knock *knock "Amelie."

I try my best not to laugh, as I listen to Amelie laughing insanely inside the house.

She opens the door. "You are crazy," she says, tears starting to form in her eyes.

"Good morning," I say, laughing as well.

"And good morning to you, too," she says, closing the door and locking it.

It is incredible how it can be 9:00 am, and she looks wonderfully gorgeous. Well...what can I say, it's been this way since the day I met her.

"Just one more week!" she says excited, as we get into my car.

"I knowww! It will be the best month ever! We will visit so many new places, aaaand...we will live the cruise ship experience."

"Yesss!! The Independence of the Seas. Many people have told me that it is an amazing ship."

"Really?" I say, stopping in a red light. "Then time has to go even faster! I can't wait!"

She laughs and I laugh with her. I want to hug her so badly, be able to speak my thoughts, tell her that she looks beautiful, that I love her.

"So..." she starts. "Are you ready for the Emmys tomorrow?"

"Geezzzzz! I am incredibly nervous," I say.

"Ughh...don't be. I'm sure you'll win. Your performances this season have been breathtaking as always."

"Awww, you're so sweet, but the other nominees are very strong."

"But from all of them you are, with no doubt, the best. And I don't say it just because I am your friend," she says.

I love how Amelie always makes me smile. She talks with such a confidence and sincereness in her voice that there is no way that someone could question a word that she speaks. "Thank you, Ams. Lets see what happens," I say. "Actually..." I continue, after a small pause. "I was going to ask you...if you would like to help me find a suit today. I would just like to have someone's opinion.

"Of course of course," she replies immediately. "I would love to!"

"Thank you."

"Ok, so all of the payments have been completed," says Monica, the lady who is helping us with the trip at the travel agency.

"Wonderful," I say. I turn to look at Amelie, and catch a glimpse of her beautiful smile. I can definitely say that she is happy.
