Jim's POV
I can't believe we are at the Dallas airport now, flying back to L.A from our honeymoon. Time truly flies, just like the plane we are about to take.
I take one last drink of my Starbucks coffee before getting out of the store, and start walking by Amelie's side, holding her hand.
"Do you really not mind me leaving to London tomorrow?" I ask, a tone of preoccupation sounding in my voice. "I mean...we're just coming back from our honeymoon, and—"
"Jim," interrupts Amelie with a smile. "I don't mind, sweetie. I love watching the interviews that you do, and especially this time, since I can't wait for 'Home' to be in theaters. I will watch it like a billion times."
"But I kind of don't want to leave you alone," I say. "Are you sure you don't want to come with me?"
Amelie looks at me, the smile slowly fading from her face as she sees my worried one. "Jim, I would love to come with you, but I can't. I have to catch up in the lab and everything."
"Yeah, you're right," I say, looking down at the ground.
"It's only four days," she says.
I look back at her, and wrap my right arm around her waist. "Hopefully it will go by fast," I say.
"I'm sure it will. I can't wait to see you in the interviews."
I smile at her, and stroke her chin. "Well then, my flight leaves tomorrow at 7:00 am, but first...we have to arrive at L.A. don't we?"
Amelie laughs a little bit, and nods. "Just thirty more minutes 'til we start boarding the plane to Los Angeles," she says.
We continue walking towards the gate, planes of all sizes showing outside the windows of the airport, and making Amelie's eyes shine with fascination.
"Boeing 737," I say out of nowhere.
"What?" says Amelie a little confused.
"That plane...on the window." I point over to the window on my left, signaling a large plane that's stationed in gate C22. "It's a Boeing 737 right?"
Amelie turns her eyes to me with a surprised smile. "Nicely done, Mr. Parsons," she says, astonished.
I pull one of my eyebrows up and then down, wearing a smirk, and making Amelie giggle.
"I learned a few types of planes. Like for example, I know that that one over there is a Boeing 777, your favorite."
Amelie turns from the plane to me, smiling. "Exactly," she says.
"And that one is a...no I don't really know what that is," I say, sounding a little disappointed but at the same time trying not to laugh.
Amelie does laugh, and turns to me once again. "DC-9," she says with confidence. "I've never really shown that one to you. They're not very usual."
"Ahhhh," I say, now understanding a little more. "Well but if—"
"Hey guys!" interrupts a familiar voice.
"Ohh, hi, Kevin!" I say, turning to him, and man-hugging.
"Hi," he replies, then walking over to salute Amelie. "Coming back from your honeymoon I guess?"
"Yes," says Amelie. "What about you? Sports event?"
"Yeah," he affirms, nodding. "I'm coming back from an event in Mexico City."
