Jim's POV

The day is finally here. My alarm sounds at 4:00 in the morning, and...to be honest, I've never felt this happy to listen to the annoying, continuos beeps of it.

A weird emotion touches me, as I turn to the right side of my bed and don't find Otis and Rufus on it. Since we'll be leaving for about a month, Kaley is taking care of them, and she took them to her place yesterday afternoon.

I finally stand up from my bed, catching a glimpse of my black suit case resting on the wall, everything neatly and already packed. This will be incredible, but at the same time...I need to admit that I am a little nervous.

I open the door of the bathroom, walk to the sink, and turn the water faucet, waiting for the water to get warm. I carefully wash my face with some water to wake up. It is so early in the morning. I dry my skin with the towel to my side, until I listen to my phone ringing. It should be Amelie. I run out of the bathroom and take my phone, which is resting on my bed. As I pick it up, I realize that the caller is not Amelie, but Simon.

"Hey, Simon," I say. "What are you doing up?"

"Hey, Jim. I just wanted to wish you luck in your trip with Amelie."

"Ohh, Simon. Thank you, really. I am feeling a little nervous, but the excitement is much more," I say.

"Jim, remember everything I told you. I know you don't want to tell her, and...you know what...If you don't want then don't tell her, but do keep in mind what we talked."

"Sure...Maybe this is my chance."

"Yes...it's a good way to look at it," he says. "Have fun and enjoy. When you're back you need to tell me how the trip was."

"Yes I will. Thank you, Simon. Goodbye."

"No problem, buddy. Bye," he says.

I hang up, and walk to my closet. Since I'll be spending every single day all day with Amelie, I thought maybe this might be my chance to show her exactly and to detail who I can really be...more than a friend. Will this work? I don't know, but if it does, and she falls in love...then all this wait will be worth it.

Amelie's POV

"Kaley??!! Why are you awake??!!" I say, as I pick up my phone.

"Hey, Ams!! I just wanted to wish my best friend the best on her trip with Mr. Charming."

I laugh. "Kaley! Thank you so much. You didn't have to wake up this early."

"Oh, of course I did. Amelie, you better call me to tell me how it's going."

"I will," I say. "I am feeling really really excited, but kind of nervous at the same time."

"It's normal, but remember what we talked. If you don't want to tell him you're in love...I'll respect your decision to do so, but your brain needs to have my words present, woman," she says.

I laugh. "Of course of course. Count on it....I am looking at this as maybe an opportunity, since I'll be spending time with him 24/7."

"Ohh come on...like if you didn't already."

"Well...yeah I do spend time with him 24/7 here, but I just...damn it Kaley, you're not helping."

Kaley laughs. "Don't worry, Ams. It will be great."

"I was trying to think positive here, Cuoco."

"Yes, yes. Think positive, keep it that way. Well, I'll leave you before my eyes close again and I fall to the floor."
