Amelie's POV

My entire friends and family are with me at the hospital room right now, celebrating, smiling, chatting. My dad and my brother just arrived, and we haven't told anyone anything about the baby we're expecting, since we were waiting for them to get here.

"This is just unbelievable," says Kaley with a smile. "You had us all crying our eyes out, without any hope, and then...you're here."

I smile and look down at the ground, as everyone agrees.

"I'm sorry," I say, looking back up.

They all laugh a little, and then Jim walks into the room holding several cups of Starbucks coffee in his hands. Jim walks around the room, handing the cups to everyone, and then sits on the bed by my side, holding my hand.

"How are you feeling?" he asks, his blue eyes turning to me.

"I'm good," I say, as he then leans to me and kisses my forehead.

Everyone looks at us, as Jim can't keep his eyes away from mine. He then smiles, and I kind of expect what's coming.

"Ready to tell them?" he asks, sending a shot of excitement through the air.

"Tell us what?" asks my mom suspiciously.

I turn to look around the room, and everyone is wearing expressions showing confusion and bewilderment.

I giggle, and turn back to Jim, who is smiling uncontrollably.

"We have news," he says, referring to the people in the room.

"What news?" asks Mayim, excitement in her voice.

I giggle once more and look down at the ground, then back up to them, as my hand is still locked with Jim's.

"Well..." I start, turning from them to Jim back to them. "I'm pregnant."

The girls start shouting, and run towards us to give us a hug, as our parents congratulate us as well, and can't hold the tears back, since they will now be grandparents.

Jim's POV

I help Amelie out of the car as we finally arrive home. I've been having this horrible feeling in which I don't want her to even move, though the doctors say she is okay.

I open the door of the house and smile. The last time I was here it was all dark and depressed, hysteric tears were falling down my eyes, and I had no hope on the continuation of my life. Now, the house is lighted once more, and nothing is sad, but happy and beautiful, just like it has always been.

I carry Amelie up the stairs, as we talk and laugh. Once we get to the room, I put her down on the bed carefully, and then walk to the other side to lay next to her.

I wrap my right arm around her, and kiss her head gently, as I place my hand on top of her still flat tummy.

"What do you think it will be, boy or girl?" I ask, as she puts her hand on top of mine.

"I don't know," she says. "But I'm sure that he or she will be very much loved."

I laugh, and nod, as she turns to me and kisses my lips softly. As we pull away, I notice that she's wearing a worried expression on her face, and it shoots a feeling of preoccupation through me.

"What's wrong?" I ask with worry.

She turns her eyes away from me and sighs, as I get a little closer to her, even though I was already pretty close.

"I'm just worried about what Colin could get to do," she says, still not looking at me.

I bring my finger to her chin and turn her head to me gently. "Hey," I say, catching her attention. "I won't let Colin do anything to you, nor to our child."

Amelie keeps looking at me and nods, now looking to the ground.

I sigh, and continue talking. "The police is searching for Colin, but...they can't find him."

Amelie nods once more, and turns to look at me. "I know," she continues. "Simon told me at the hospital yesterday."

I hold her hand tightly, as my arm pulls her firmly towards me.

"Don't worry," I continue, as she looks at me. "It will be okay."

I lean forward and kiss her flat tummy, making her laugh. I then kiss her lips and smile, as she strokes my cheek gently.

"We will be a happy little family."

* One day before *

Colin's POV

My eyes open sharply, and I look around the room, the white light from the corridor burning my eyes.

"Stand up, idiot."

Karen's voice rings inside my ears, and I see that she is standing in front of me with her hands on her hips.

I groan and curse under my breath, as I stand up.

"I can't believe that I leave for three hours and you let her escape. This was all your idea! I thought you would be a lot more in charge of that little bi—"

"Shut up, Karen!!!" I shout, losing control. "Jim came here and he was the one that took her, though I don't know if she survived the hit that I gave her."

Karen scoffs and rolls her eyes. "Of course she survived, you idiot!"

To her words, I get even more angry, and toss the blade to the wall, a loud sound bouncing around the room.

"This isn't over, Karen don't worry. I have a plan, an even better plan," I say, not looking at her.

"Reaaaalllyyy?" she says sarcastically. "And what is that 'amazing' plan you have, genius."

I turn to her with a look of disgust at the sarcasm of her voice. "You'll see."

She rolls her eyes once again, and crosses her arms, as I approach the lab.

"And they are having a child."

Her words make me stop immediately, and I turn to look at her a little surprised.

"A child?" I ask.

Karen nods, her arms still crossed over her chest.

A feeling of pure adrenaline and madness rushes through me and I smile...a mad smile.

"This is perfect!" I shout, making Karen react. "The taste of revenge...never been better."
