Jim's POV

"Julie?"

"Jim!!!" shouts my sister, pulling me into a hug. "I missed you so much."

"And I missed you a lot, too. Where's mom?" I ask.

"She's in the kitchen."

Typical. My mom is always in the kitchen, she loves to cook.

"Hi, mom," I say.

"Sweetie." She starts walking, kisses me on the cheek, and embraces me in a hug. "How are you?"

"I am good mom, really good."

"Things got better with Amelie, right?"

I nod. "Yes, they did."

She claps her hands in excitement. "I knew you guys would be friends again...so bad she is getting marries—I mean...not be mean or anything."

"No mom," I say, shaking my head. She stares at me confused. "Amelie is not getting married anymore."

"Why? What happened?" she asks.

I sigh. "Jason cheated on her."

"WHAT?!" says Julie, as she walks in the kitchen. "Jim this is your freaking chance! Tell her!"

"No, Julie, no. Not yet, I can't tell her now, and I...I just...really don't think I'll ever tell her."

"James!! Why in the wo—"

"Because our friendship is so good right now, and I don't want to screw anything up. And if you don't remember, she DID tell me that things could get awkward. So, forget it."

"Ugh...you are so stubborn, I'm not even going to try," she says, crossing her arms and turning away.

My mom comes closer to me. "Dear...I think that you should tell her when you are ready."

I shake my head. "No, mom. I'd rather not."

She shrugs. "As you wish."

I love how my mom is very supportive. She never fails me on anything, and respects my decisions.

I go upstairs and take my pajamas, my toothbrush, and finally I take some junk food from the kitchen.

"Just like when we were kids," I whisper.

I grab my backpack and put it over my shoulders.

"Where are you going?" asks Julie, my mom walking behind her.

"I am going over to Amelie's," I say.

"Ahhhh...well...have fun," she says.

I smile at them, and say goodbye, stepping out of my house into the night sky of L.A.

Amelie's POV

"What the hell do you think you are doing here? Who do you think you are?" I ask.

"I am your fiancé," he says. "And you are going to listen to what I have to say."

I shake my head. "No, you are not my freaking fiancé, and I won't listen to what you have to say. Do you understand?" There is silence for a moment. "Do you really think I am going to marry a guy who cheated on me? Of course not."

"It was a mistake."

"MISTAKE?! MISTAKE?! I SAW YOU!! You were kissing her the way you've never kissed me. And don't try to deny it because I am not blind."
