Jim's POV

"Mmmm...I really nailed it with this pie," I say, giving a small chuckle.

"Yes, you did," says Amelie. "But don't finish it, I want some, too."

Last night was incredible. Amelie and I didn't sleep at all, but it was definitely worth it, since we had a great time painting a room with balloons, pushing each other into the pool, etc.

"We should have a decent breakfast anyways" I say, taking a spoonful of pie into my mouth. "This unhealthy, but very delicious slice doesn't count."

She laughs. "You are right, but first...I need to call my mom and tell her to meet me here, since...she doesn't know what happened."

I look at her for a few moments. "Your mother doesn't know that you are not getting married anymore?"

Amelie shakes her head.

"Why?" I ask. "I thought she was the first person you called."

"No, no, not really. I wanted to feel better before I told her anything, but I did have to tell the girls, so that they would help me cancel everything for the wedding," she says.

"Ahhh, right."

"I don't know what I'll do with the wedding dress, though."

The wedding dress, the wedding dress. A picture of Amelie in one comes to my mind. She would look so so beautiful.

"Do you have it here?" I ask.

She nods. "Yes, yes I do."

"Do you mind if I see it?"

"No, I wouldn't. It's upstairs I'll show it to you."

We walk up the stairs, and then go into her room. Amelie goes into her closet, and I stay outside. It could be a little awkward for her if I went in there. Well...maybe I am thinking wrong because at the moment that she sees I am not in there, she peaks her head out the door, and stares at me confused.

"What are you doing out there?"

"I...umm—

"Get in here," she says, with a small laugh.

I slowly walk into her closet, it is big and full of clothes of every color.

Amelie grabs a black suit cover, which, I imagine, has her wedding dress inside.

"Here," she says, handing it to me. "Look at it, I...I honestly wouldn't love to see it right now."

"Yes, yes, I understand. Don't worry, Ams."

I take the dress, and Amelie steps out of the closet. It is heavy, and long. I hang it. and open the zipper of the cover. My eyes catch a beautiful white dress, with beautiful lace work and a mermaid cut. I have absolutely no doubt that Amelie would've looked gorgeous in this. I zip it back up and get out of the closet.

"Ams," I say. She turns to look at me. "If you want I could take care of your dress."

"Really?" she says, a smile appearing on her face.

I nod.

"Jim, that would help me a lot, thank you."

I smile at her. "You don't have to thank me...So, I'll take the dress to my house, so that it doesn't stay here for much longer, I mean, unless that you wanted it for—

"No, no, if you want you can take it," she says.

Her phone starts ringing, and she takes it out from the back pocket of her jeans to answer it.
