Jim's POV

Yesterday, we slept for a little while after the wedding. I have to say that with all of the adrenaline and excitement, it was hard to fall asleep. Since, it was December 24th, there was a family gathering, where Amelie and I presented as husband and wife now. Every single time I take a look at the ring on my finger I can't help but smile, since it still feels like a dream to me. After the family gathering, we had another Christmas party with our wedding team, and finally went to sleep at about 3:00 am.

Today, it is time for us to go to our honeymoon. I have to say that I am really excited about this. We just landed at Quebec City, and I have a nice surprise for Amelie there. I'll just wait a while to show it to her.

We pick up our luggage from the baggage claim area, then walk out of the airport, and go to the car, the cold breeze of the winter weather in Canada touching my skin.

I help Amelie put the luggage in the car, and then get in, driving away from the airport.

Amelie takes my hand, as I drive with the other, and in a red light, I turn to look at her. Her green eyes are shining brightly with the light of the sun that reflects in the white, fluffy snow that's all around us.

She turns her body to me, and then gently rests her head on the back of her seat.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Yes, just a little tired," she replies, closing her eyes and then opening them again.

"Yeah, I'm tired, too," I say, laughing a little bit. "We haven't been able to sleep well these past two days."

Amelie smiles and nods slowly. "Exactly."

I take a quick look at her and smile once again.

"I was thinking if maybe we sleep for a few hours before going out. It is only 2:30 pm, so we can get ready to leave at night. It could be nice to explore the city for first time at night," I add, my eyes fixed on the road.

"Yeah," starts Amelie. "That's a good idea. At the end of the day, if you're tired you don't really explore the city to the hundred."

"Yes! Exactly!" I exclaim.

I keep driving for a little while, until I finally reach the main part of the city. I drive past the hotel we were supposed to stay, making Amelie confused. I have a surprise for her, and I'm taking her there.

"Wasn't that our hotel?" she asks, sounding puzzled.

I turn to look at her with a smirk, then bring my eyes back to the streets.

"You'll see," I say, not answering her question.

Amelie throws a small laugh, making me realize that she knows I have something for her.

I start driving on a road that goes up the mountain, and a few minutes later, I park in front of a beautiful, private cabin that has a wonderful view to the city. We get out of the car, and stand together to take a look at the place we're staying in for three weeks and a half.

"Oh my," says Amelie. "This is beautiful!...We're staying here?"

"Yes," I reply, wrapping an arm around her. "It is a lot more private here, and it's still very near from the city."

Amelie laughs a little and then wraps both of her arms around me, making our bodies turn forward to each other. I rest my chin on her head, as I hug her tightly, keeping each other warm from the cold.

"I love you, Jim," she says, now looking at me.

"And I love you, too," I reply, both smiling.
