Luke's POV -
"Luuuuke!" Sierra called from outside, we were all getting ready for the street fair in Melbourne Central, all of us except Isla and Skip. Neither of them were responding to their messages or calls, but we weren't worried, after last night, they were probably 'making up.' "Isla left her bag in my car, should we drop it off on the way and see if they're coming?" Beau, Shay and Jai were all waiting outside for James and Veronica to arrive, Jai had already updated James on last nights events and he was happy that Isla and Skip had worked things out. All of us still wondered about what Isla had said, but every time someone mentioned, it Shay felt awkward and Beau told everyone to shut up. I grabbed my rucksack and made my way outside, Veronica's car pulled up, Beau and Shay climbed in, waving goodbye saying them would meet us there. "so?" Sierra questioned me as I got closer, she looked unbelievable today, her gorgeous red hair was curled slightly, flopping over her shoulders and she was wearing a strapless black maxi dress. Every perfect curve of her body was hugged by the soft, light material and her red lips grew into a smile as I wrapped my arms around her. "Mmm." I agreed, in between kisses and Jai groaned asking us to stop.
I sat up front with Sierra, Jai unwillingly sat in the back, alone. I knew he wanted Ariana here and hated seeing the rest of us in our couples, but Beau and I were trying to arrange for her to come over as a surprise. With the time difference and her busy schedule, communication was hard, but for Jai, it was worth it. "Jai, pass me Isla's bag?" I asked as we got closer to her house, he passed the black leather clutch through the seats and jabbed it into my cheek. As Jai and I argued immaturely, Sierra laughed and told us to stop being so childish, "Right, I'll run in and give her it quickly, you two can wait in the car, try not to kill each other!" she laughed as we arrived at Isla's. Skip's car was still in the driveway, someone had earned a good night, but then I saw a figure, slumped across the dashboard. "Is that Skip?" Jai muttered and Sierra confirmed that it was, all three of us left the car and banged in the windows of his car. His body stirred and he looked up at the window, his eyes were blood shit and his hand was still covered in blood. He opened the doer, hitting me in the process and rubbed his sleepy eyes, groaning.
"Why are you sleeping here?!" I questioned, unsure if I was going to receive a human response. Skip shrugged his shoulders and stood up out of the car, he winced in pain as his left hand knocked against the frame of the car and he stretched. "Isla kicked me out." he said, he didn't sound to bothered, maybe that was because he was tired, or maybe it was because he was used to arguing with her by now. "where is she?" Sierra asked, rummaging through Isla's bag and dangling her keys in the air. Clearly Isla wasn't in the house, or asleep in her car. "The treehouse." Skip said, now he sounded sad, he looked to the floor and shuffled his feet awkwardly. Sierra's phone rang loudly and she mouthed 'Isla' to us as she answered.
Sierra: Morning beautiful.
Isla: Morning ugly, quick question..
Sierra: Yes, you left your bag in my car, I'm at the front of your house.
Isla: Ugh, Thank God, I'll be there in a second Boo.
Seirra: Hurry girl, we got plans!
She hung up and smiled to herself, "Isla will be here in a second, you'd better apologise for whatever you did Skippy!" she said, too perky for 10am and placed Isla's keys back into the bag. Skip pulled his shirt down, pulled his jeans up and wiped his hands across them, attempting to smooth out the creases. His right hand ruffled his hair, then slid down his face and he yawned, causing all four of us to yawn in unison. "I think this is the time for me to talk to her about the hospital." Skip muttered, he looked as if he was going throw up and he rested his head in his hands. This was probably the hardest thing Skip would ever have to do, "She will understand if you tell her the truth." Sierra replied comfortingly and she hugged him gently, sticking her tongue out at me in the process. God I loved that girl, more than she would ever realise, she was my life and I'd never let anything come between us like they had with Skip and Isla.
Isla's POV -
Skip was gone when I woke up, that's when I remembered what had happened last night. I'd told him to leave, I didn't mean it, I was just angry that he'd seen my scars. Not angry at him, angry at myself, for doing it in the first place, I'd just exploded like a bomb in his face and he'd left. I overreacted, massively, he was trying to help me, but I couldn't help but think if he'd been there and helped me in the first place, I wouldn't be in this situation. My hands were buried underneath my pillow, where my head rested and dribble escaped my lips, attractive. The quilt enveloped my whole body, except one leg that wrapped around it, almost as if I was spooning the lump of feathers and material. I wished more than anything it was Skip, I needed to phone him. Luckily my phone was in my pocket and not the bag I'd left in Sierras car, I picked it up and dialled his number, ignoring the calls and texts I had received over night, but hung up before it rang. I did this several times until I decided I'd call Sierra, so I could get my keys and freshen up first. To my surprise Sierra was outside my house, which was a bonus as I didn't have to wait hours to get inside my hours. I shoved my hair up into a bun and pulled my joggers up, over my hips.
The garden was a mess, every memory of the night before flashed through my head and as I turned the corner, to the front of my house, my heart sank. Skip was there, I wasn't ready to talk to him, I looked awful, I prayed he hadn't told the others what he had seen last night. "Lala!" Sierra ran towards me and picked me up, this girl had unbelievable strength for someone so small, but then again, I was even smaller now. My back clicked in several places and we both laughed as she dropped me, I walked awkwardly towards the boys. I was happy to see Jai, he comforted me so well last night, him and James were amazing for that, I wouldn't change my best friends for the world. "Morning!" Luke called enthusiastically and hugged me, my skin burnt under the material and warmth of his hug, but I felt safe. Skip eyed me up, he looked tired and upset, I felt guilty. "Skip, I'm sorry." I whispered as Luke and Jai began play fighting and Sierra battled with them. He looked the floor, frustrated, "Isla, why do you do this?" he said frustrated, but grabbed me close and kissed my forehead, sweetly.
