Isla's POV -
I tried to open my eyes, but it was just too much of a strain, my head throbbed and I could taste blood. I didn't know the person who had taken me yesterday, he was short and blonde, well built and incredibly strong. I'd tried to fight him off but he had pinned my arms behind my back and walked me out of the street fair, he had whispered threats about Skip into my ear, forcing me to go along with him so no one had suspected a thing. "Play nicely little girl, or your little friend, Skip, is going to get seriously hurt." he said menacingly, gripping tighter on to my wrists, I looked at people walking around me, trying to make eye contact with anyone so they would see my pain. He placed one hand on top of my head, pushed me down and into a black car. "who are you?" I asked nervously as the guy got into the seat beside me, he laughed and started the car up ignoring my question. The car stopped in a lay-by and he tied something around my eyes, "shhh baby girl." he whispered as I struggled, his hot breath prickling the hairs on my neck. I felt positively sick. The car stopped again and my car door opened, I was hit hard across the head, and dragged along the floor before blacking out.
I had no idea how long I'd been blacked out for, I had no idea where I was, or who I was with, but I couldn't open my eyes to find out. I sat trying to find the strength to open my eyes, my hands were tied up behind my back and I was leant up against a wall. It was cold and with only a dress on, I began shivering, just as my eyes flickered open I heard footsteps close by and two voices arguing,
Male voice: I got her here didn't I, Now give me what I want!
Female voice: Oh shut up Noah, you're not getting anything.
Noah: but you promised!
Female voice: you're so naive, I can get you eating out of the palm of my hand, I lied Noah. Now get out, I don't need you anymore.
I heard one set of footsteps running away, the other got closer and a latch on the door opened. I kept my eyes shut, too scared to see the person who was keeping me here. They came closer, until I could feel them breathing on my face, a hand stroked my face, her nails digging into my pale skin. "Oh Isla, so beautiful, yet so damaged." I recognised that voice, but I couldn't figure out why, or who it was. I heard her footsteps retreat and I found the courage to open my eyes, i couldn't have guessed the person I saw standing in front of me, even if I'd tried. Tabby, she stood with her long dark hair cascading down her back, she was about to leave but quickly turned around. I didn't have time to snap my eyes closed before she saw them, "you're awake," she laughed menacingly, "brilliant." I flinched as she walked back over to me, "Isla, I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to teach you a lesson." she smiled and ran her fingers through my tangled hair. I could feel my phone vibrating in my pocket but kept still so she wouldn't notice.
"Here, drink this." she put a glass of clear liquid up to my lips, I was dying of thirst but I couldn't trust her. She laughed and took a sip herself, indicating there was nothing wrong with it, It was enough to convince me and I let the cold, refreshing liquid pour down my throat. "good girl." she cooed, continually stroking my hair as if she were nursing a sick child. I tried to speak, to ask her why I was here but no words came out, just me rasping for air. "Shhh Isla," she began, standing up and making her way to the door, "I'll be back later with a surprise for you." she smiled coldly and the heavy, metal door slammed behind her. A surprise? I dreaded to think what she would do to me, I knew she was always the centre of attention and got what she wanted, but I didn't think she was capable of this. I looked around the room I was in, beginning to feel drowsy, it looked like a basement. Dirty, graffitied walls, a damp, cold floor and a tiny, blacked out window towards the top of the room. It smelt like a drug pushers paradise and reminded me, once again, of Ryder. I began shivering uncontrollably and tears poured from my eyes, the drowsiness took over and for the second time, I blacked out. I just wanted Daniel, my Daniel, but that was the reason I was here, wasn't it?
Skip's POV -
Everytime I got close to Isla, something happened to tear us apart again. I had to find her and quickly, before something happened to her. "Hurry up Skip!" Sierra panicked, she was just as worried as I was, but she was irritating me now. "I can't go any faster than the car in front!" I yelled back. We arrived on the outskirt of Glenroy, just five more minutes. I prayed that Isla was there, that she'd gone home for something important, rather than being taken. Soon we pulled up in her driveway, "The door!" Jai yelled, I looked over and it was wide open, 'that's not like Isla at all' I thought to myself. I raced into her house, everything had been turned upside down, it was a wreck, yet nothing had been taken. I checked the kitchen, front room, all three bedrooms but there was no sign of her, I even checked the treehouse. I walked through the door of the treehouse and broke down in tears, my red basketball jersey lay across the bed. The sheets were still unmade from the night before, the night we had spent together. I slumped to the floor, leaning against the bed and held the jersey close to me, it smelt of Islas perfume and it comforted me for a while.
I continued sobbing into the material, praying over and over again for my girlfriends safety. I hadn't asked her officially to be my girlfriend yet, but that's how I saw her. I slipped my hand into my pocket and pulled out the black box, i opened it and traced my fingers over the heart with her name on it. "Isla, where are you?" I whispered to myself frustrated, I snapped the black box closed and shoved it into my pocket, pulling my phone out instead. I called her three times, each time letting it dial off, just hearing her voice on the answer phone made me more determined to find her. "Isla, I will find you, I promise, as long as you promise me you will stay safe baby? I love you." I spoke into the answer phone, I looked up to see Beau watching me from the doorway. "Skip, we will find her, I'll be here for you the whole way." he sat down next to me and hugged me, I could hear him crying into my shoulder as I cried into his. We parted and Beau quickly wiped away his tears, "I'm sorry bro.." he began, sorry for what? Did he know something I didn't?
Beau's POV -
"I love her Skip, I always will." I confessed, I loved Shay too, but Isla was different, however brief our fling had been, I'd fallen hard for her. She was my first love, I'd always feel something. "I know Beau." he replied, "It's just her, she has that way of having a hold over us." he smiled and hugged me again. With the determination of both Skip and I, we'd eventually find her, I knew there was no way I'd ever get her back, I just needed her to be safe. "Im not giving up on her this time, Beau." he said positively, trying to make himself feel better, I believed him though, I knew how much he regenerated leaving her before. We both stood up and made our way back to through the house and Skips phone began ringing..
Skip: Isla! Baby, is that you?!
Officer Patel:Daniel Sahyounie?
Skip: Speaking..
Officer Patel: it's officer Patel from Glenroy Police station..
Skip: Oh, what's up?
Officer Patel: I'm just calling to inform you that Benjamin Cooper has been released on bail, with strict instructions to stay away from yourself, Mr.Brooks and Miss.Rhodes until his court date next month.
Skip: what? Are you crazy? He's dangerous!
Officer Patel: please Mr.Sahyounie, he has the same right as any other offender, just call us if you need anything or if he breaches his bail agreement.
Skip: yeh, thanks.
Officer Patel: Thank you, goodbye.
"Benji's been released, but his bail conditions have told him to stay away or he will be sent straight down." Skip muttered angrily as he hung up and placed his phone back in his pocket. None of us, apart from Shay, knew about what had happened that night still, at least I didn't think so. We walked into the kitchen and out of the corner of my eye I saw a note taped to the fridge, "I've been released and I will get Isla back. Just watch yourself Skip, Benji." Skip ripped the note off the fridge and ran to the front of the house to tell the others.
