15. "Get away from her Skip."

James' POV -

We all sat around the table, Veronica was next to me, looking perfect as always. Her long dark hair shone in the moonlight, I leant over to kiss her and I could feel her smiling as our lips touched. I pulled away and Luke wolf whistled, as if him and Sierra were any better, Roni blushed and her glasses steamed up. She took them from her eyes and wiped them, she looked adorable without her glasses and her eyes sparkled. Jai's voice interrupted my stare, "Pick your favourite person and kiss them."I didn't know who he was talking to until I saw Isla stand up from her seat. Everyone looked at her confused, Benji was sat next to her, why was she walking away from him? She stopped behind Skip's chair, who was looking in my direction, tilted his head back and kissed him. A few people gasped, Sierra smiled uncontrollably and Beau rolled his eyes, Benji however wasn't quite as impressed. He threw his chair back and grabbed Isla's shoulders throwing her to the floor, he spat in her face and called her a whore. Beau jumped up from his seat and swung at Benji, his fist hit his face hard and he fell to the floor next to Isla.

Beau continued to hit Benji several times, Shay screamed and tried to pull Beau off him but he shoved her back, Skip ran to Isla. Luke and Jai muscled in to help Shay pull Beau off Benji, Beau was the strongest of the boys and it took all three of them to hold him back. I stood in front of Roni and Sierra, so they were away from Benji, I was so protective over the girls and I couldn't bare to see Isla lying there but I had to keep the others safe. Sierra began crying and Roni hugged her comfortingly, I was so happy the others had accepted her into our group, I knew Addie was going home and I missed her but Roni was special, nothing could compare to her. Benji sat up suddenly, his face was covered in blood but that didn't stop him from laughing. It wasn't the kind of laughter we'd all been enjoying the past few hours, it was malicious and threatening. Beau struggled in Luke and Jai's grasp, Skip helped Isla up from the floor and she cowered behind him, as Benji stared at her hungrily. "That's right, hide behind Skip, I'm sure you'll make it up to him later!" he snarled and walked towards them.

Beau's POV -

Watching Benji hit Isla made me snap, I loved her, I always would, I couldn't control my actions. My hands were covered in blood, Luke and Jai were holding me back but Benji was walking straight towards Skip and Isla. Shay cried behind me, But my eyes were set on Isla at this moment, I knew she didn't love me back but I'd still do anything to protect her. She was safe with Skip and she wanted to be with Skip, jealously rushed through my body but I had to let her go. I wasn't the same person as I was before her accident, I'd regained my friendship with Skip, 'Baniel' was back and I'd found a beautiful girl, who made me happy. Shay wasn't my usual type and at first she was just another girl, but the more time I spent with her, the more she grew on me. She was tall, blonde and her blue eyes enticed me, just as Isla's had when I first met her. Shay wasn't like other girls, she didn't cake herself in make-up, she was a surfer, she was relaxed and active. She'd introduced Skip to her best friend Tabby at a party, Tabby wasn't like Shay at all, she was tall, she had dark hair and she strutted around like she owned the place. She was attractive but she knew it and I was surprised Skip had put up with her as long as he had.

Benji Was face to face with Skip now, Luke's grip loosened but Jai had gone, I looked around for him but no one knew where's he was. "Get away from her Skip." Benji snarled, Skip backed away holding onto Isla's hands and Sierra screamed at him to stop. "Sierra stay there!" Luke yelled, trying to protect his girlfriend, she did as she was told and stayed behind James with Veronica. Benji shoved Skip, causing Skip to retaliate and pick up where I'd left off, Luke was busy keeping an eye on Sierra so I took the opportunity to join him. I could hear sirens in the distance, but thought nothing of it. Isla cried, "Skip, Beau stop it! He's not worth it!" but I couldn't stop, he was filth, he deserved every hit. Benji wasn't exactly holding back either, pain soared through my jaw as his fists hit my face and I heard Skip shout in pain. With no warning two hands grabbed me and pulled me away, "Police! You're under arrest." three voices called as handcuffs were placed on mine, Skip's and Benji's wrists. Isla and Shay screamed as we were taken away, Jai ran out from the house, "I'm sorry Beau!". He'd done the right thing, Benji needed to be locked up, but somehow Skip and I had got ourselves caught up in everything.

Shay's POV -

I couldn't get my head around what had just happened, one minute everything was fine, we're all having a laugh and then Skip arrives back. Obviously I knew about Tabby and Noah, but I kept it secret because she's my best friend. I wanted to tell Skip, he's a nice guy, she's just a slut that can't keep her knickers on. Harsh, but true. We were all playing truth or dare and then everything just got so fucked up and then I was watching my boyfriend get taken away in a police car. I wasn't close to the group, Beau talked about them all the time and I really want to be part of it, but Tabby made things so hard. If Tabby wanted something, she got it and that's the way it had always been. Isla was on the floor, crying her eyes out, I walked over to her and put my arms around her shoulders. I was the only person who felt anywhere close to the way she did right now, I had to comfort her, maybe it would bring us closer. She looked up at me, shocked, but she smiled and we hugged each other crying. Luke and Sierra had gone to the police station, much to Sierra's dislike, James had taken Veronica into Isla's house and Jai came over to check we were okay.

"I need to go to the police station" Isla whispered to me, so Jai couldn't hear her, I was surprised she was even talking to me. "I can get Beau and Skip free." her words made me smile. I was curious as to how she could possibly get the two of them off beating Benji to a pulp, but I didn't care, I wanted Beau back. "Jai can you see if James and Veronica are okay?" she asked him and he agreed, hugging us both as he left, letting us know he was only a shout away. "Shay.." she started, I could see her hands shaking as she tried hard to hold back her tears, I held her hands, showing her that I was here for her. "-Benji, he, he-" she burst into tears and lifted her sleeves, her arms were scolded and blistered, I gasped as I saw the skin pealing. "he did this to you?" I asked her, but she shook her head, why was she showing me her arms? She took a deep breath and spoke again, "he raped me." she whispered, her voice quivered and I pulled her close to me.
