"Isla! You're okay! Oh my gosh I've missed you so much!" Jai ran and hugged me tightly, I felt uneasy. "What the fuck? I've been awake for three weeks and not once have you cared, why now?" I snapped and pulled away from him, his face fell and he looked to the floor. Sierra and Luke gasped and Benji grabbed my hand again. "Isla, Jai's been in L.A with his girlfriend, we forget to tell you, I'm sorry!" Sierra muttered and tried to hide her guilt from Both Jai and I. Suddenly I felt guilty for shouting at him "Girlfriend?" I asked confused, "I thought you and Loren were dating?" Sierra giggled at the expression on my face, Luke, Jai and Benji soon joined in and I stood trying to figure out what was going on. "Loren tried to sleep with Ski- someone else, Jai's dating ARIANA GRANDE!" Seirra squealed and pinched Jai's cheeks, causing him to turn red with embarrassment. "Loren tried to sleep with Skip?" was all that came out of my mouth, I felt broken, I was in hospital, fighting for my life and my 'friend' tried to sleep with my ex. "Look, let's go and get lunch, I'm starving" I muttered as clearly I wasn't getting any answers from anyone.
We walked towards the food court and I my stomach rumbled loudly as I spotted Macca's in the distance. We all sat down at a table, Benji and Luke went to order the food which left me with Sierra and Jai. "Jai, I'm sorry for snapping at you, I'm happy for you, I mean, Ariana fucking Grande!" the three of us laughed and I pulled my cardigan up over my shoulder so my skeleton like figure didn't show. "I tweeted you every day Lala! I couldn't phone, it's waaay expensive!" I hadn't been online for over five months, I hadn't even thought about the fact people might have contacted me online. "I'm sorry Jai! I hadn't even thought about looking." we hugged again and as we pulled away, I saw a tear in Jai's eye. "what's wrong?" I asked, I'd never seen Jai cry before, even when everything had kicked off that night at the bonfire. "Isla, you're so thin, I didn't realise how bad things were, I should have been here for my best friend!" I pulled my cardigan around my body and stared at the floor. Suddenly Benji and Luke walked over to us with the food.
I hadn't eaten in months, I wasn't convinced I could stomach it, but as I bit into my cheeseburger my hunger developed and I instantly felt better. "for someone so skinny, you sure know how to eat a burger!" Sierra laughed as Benji wiped sauce from my mouth. We sat eating, laughing and catching up for a good half an hour, I felt so much better for leaving the house, to have my friends. "Sierra, I need to go shopping, none of my clothes fit me anymore, I know you can help me." her eyes lit up and she smiled as if she was planning something. We said goodbye to the guys, who were going to watch a film and said we'd meet them back here in two hours. Sierra grabbed my hand and excitedly pulled me towards the exit of the food court. Benji looked uncomfortable as she carted me away but I mouthed 'I'll be fine' as he smiled back. We headed over towards some shops and something in the corner of my eye made my heart break and my eyes filled with tears.
Skip and Beau were walking right towards us, both hand in hand with a girl. The girl with Skip had long dark hair, a lot like mine used to be, she had a gorgeous body which she showed off in a pair of cut off shorts and a crop top. She was perfectly tanned and had big blue eyes, he kissed her gently on the forehead, laughing along with the others. Beau's girl had long, wavy blonde hair, slightly messy which made it look even better, she had hazel eyes and a boyish figure. She was dressed in a pair of cut off shorts and a surfer t-shirt. The four of them looked so happy, which made me feel completely sick. "Shit!" I heard Sierra mutter under her breath. They were metres away from us, "Isla, I'm sorry." Sierra whispered, guilt appeared all over her face, "I didn't know how to tell you, I didn't want to hurt you." I began sobbing and she tried to pull me into the nearest shop, but I couldn't move, I was frozen. They got closer and closer, I prayed they'd walk past without noticing us but Beau's eyes flickered up, away from the blonde girl. His dazzling, emerald eyes looked straight into mine and the laughter of the group suddenly stopped.
"Isla?" Beau questioned, looking me up and down, shocked. Skip's gaze followed Beau's and he suddenly released the grip of his girls hand. "Carry on walking, cunts." I snapped at them and grabbed hold of Sierra. The girl with dark hair suddenly stepped forward and walked towards me "Who the fuck do you think you are?" she spat in my face and stood stubbornly waiting for an answer. The blonde girl stood next to her, the expression in her face equally as sour. "I'm Skip's ex, who the fuck are you?" I spat back, suddenly I felt confident and a wave of anger powered through my whole body, Sierra was still holding tight onto my arm trying to pull me back. "I'm Skips current girlfriend, so why don't you crawl back to where ever you came from, you anorexic bitch, and leave us alone." suddenly all anger had left my body and it was replaced with disgust, not towards her, but towards myself. I couldn't stop the tears from falling down my cheeks, and as they fell, she laughed bitterly. "Tabby! Leave it!" Skip suddenly spoke, and pulled her back, sending a shiver down my spine. I stared directly into Skip's eyes, trying to get some reaction from him, a sign that he cared, but there was nothing.
"Beau, Skip, I think it's best if you take Shay and Tabby away from here." Sierra almost demanded stepping in front of me. Jai, Luke and Benji walked out of the food court, saw the confrontation we were faced with and swiftly made their way over to us. Benji wrapped his arms around me and kissed my lightly on the head, Luke stood with Isla and Jai confronted his brother. "Beau, leave. We don't want you here, you had your chance and you blew it." Beau's bright eyes dimmed and his gaze fell to the floor. Skip stared at Benji, his eyes filled with envy and hatred for him. "it didn't take you long to get your claws into someone else did it Isla?" Skip scoffed and continued, "Fucking one of my best friends wasn't enough, you had to fuck another one!" my fists clenched tightly and body went stiff, how dare he say that to me! "Sorry, I didn't realise you fucking cared Daniel, where were you when I was dying?" I spat back. Sierra pulled me away, behind her and Luke. Benji pushed his way through us and stood facing Skip "Do you know how much of a cunt you are?" before anyone could stop him, Benji's fist hit Skip's face and Tabby screamed dramatically and rished to his side. Sierra, Luke, Jai, Benji and I walked away from them, I looked back one last time. Skip was lying on the floor, Tabby sat over him, Beau and Shay stood in shock. I wanted to run back and help him, but he wasn't my responsibility anymore, he'd made that clear. "Benji, you are my fucking Hero!" Luke yelled and we all laughed.
I don't know why, but seeing Skip just made my feelings for him grow stronger, I didn't care about what he'd said, I was still madly in love with him. This situation was Hopeless.
