13. "I slept with Isla."

Skip's POV -

Beau had arrived and brought Shay, Tabby and Benji with him, what if Benji had told the others what he had seen earlier? I looked at Isla, who funnily enough looked at me, she clearly had the same thoughts rushing through her head. She threw herself of Jai's shoulders and swam to the edge, pulling Benji away into the house. I was curious as to what would happen but thought it was best to let them talk about it, after all, I was the one who caused the problem. Shay and Tabby stripped off their clothing, Beau pushed them both into the pool and Tabby swam over to me. "Hey." she smiled and kissed me cheek, "where have you been? I've missed you Danny!". She wrapped her arms around my neck and I ducked under the water to get away from her, I swam through her legs and to the other end of the pool. Beau was sitting on the edge, watching me as I climbed out of the pool, he stood up and walked over to me. "Bro, you alright?" he asked and hugged me.I could hear Tabby shouting after me but I ignored her and followed Beau to the garden chairs. I wrapped myself in a towel, it was 8.30 and the air was getting chilly, every hair on my body stood up. "I slept with Isla." I confessed and to my surprise, he didn't look shocked.

"Finally!" he muttered and nudged my shoulder, "I knew you would." Beau knew me better than I knew myself these days. Then I told him about Benji catching us, I left out the part where he'd hit Isla, I could handle Benji if I needed too. Beau still had feeling for Isla, I wasn't stupid, and I didn't need him getting riled up. "I can't risk Tabby finding out, I need to break up with her." Beau agreed, but we both knew how over dramatic and difficult she was, this wasn't going to be an easy break up. I looked over in the pool and saw Tabby talking to Jai, she had her chest stuck out in front of her, forcing her breasts into his face but he wasn't interested, in fact, he almost looked repulsed. Shay was talking to Veronica and James whilst Luke and Sierra were walking over to join our conversation. "SkipsleptwithIsla!" Beau blurted out as they approached and Sierra squealed excitedly, Luke rolled his eyes and nudged me, winking. "Ohmygodhohmygodohmygod! Why didn't she tell me?!" Sierra looked disappointed and lowered her head.

"You can't say anything!" I warned them, they both understood the circumstances and agreed not to tell anyone. Benji walked out from the kitchen, looking pretty happy with himself, which made me instantly jealous. I thought of Isla as being mine, I didn't want anyone else near her, especially not Benji. It was apparent they had made up for earlier, "where's Lala?" Sierra asked, Beau laughed every time Sierra referred to Isla as Lala. "Isla's just getting changed." he replied and stared hungrily at Shay and Tabby as they climbed out of the pool. He walked over to them and I saw Beau's fists clench when Shay stroked Benji's tattoos. The three of them laughed flirtatiously, Benji shot me a dirty glare as if to say 'two can play at that game' and whispered something into her ear. I didn't feel jealous like I did with Isla, I felt sorry for them, sorry that Tabby was so desperate for attention and sorry that Benji was so eager to hurt me. I shoved the thoughts to the back of my mind and pulled on my clothes, they were still partly covered in flour, but it was freezing and I wasn't planning on going anywhere. My phone began to ring from the pocket of my trousers and pulled it out, the number was unknown.

Skip: hello?

Unknown: Is this Danny?

Obviously someone who knew Tabby, it was a male voice, husky and quiet.

Skip: we'll, it's Skip but yeah, who's this?

Unknown: A friend of Tabby, I have some information you might want to know.

Skip: Okay...

Unknown: meet me in Bruno's, twenty minutes. Bring Tabby with you.

Skip: um, yea-

The line went dead, as if today's event hadn't been strange enough as it was. "who was that?" called Beau, as I walked back over towards him, Luke and Sierra. Jai, James and Veronica were sat talking on the porch, Benji, Tabby and Shay were also heading towards Beau and the others. "I don't know, but I need to go somewhere." I shrugged. Beau looked at me confused and I gave him a 'I'll tell you later' look and turned around as Tabby approached me, "we have to go." I said to her, taking her hand in mine, she bit her lip playfully and rubbed herself up against my arm. "I'll go anywhere you want." she said flirtatiously pulling me away from the others. Sierra rolled her eyes and turned her back on Shay, it was no secret that she didn't like the girls. Beau chatted with Benji and the five of them walked over to the porch to join Jai, James and Veronica. "I'll be back in a bit!" I called to Beau and he waved goodbye. Tabby and I walked around the side of the house, as she struggled to pull her dress over her wet body and got to my car at the front. I could see Isla's bathroom and bedroom light on, I wished more than anything I was up there with her, instead of meeting a stranger with my girlfriend.

"Where are we going Danny?" Tabby said excitedly as we got into my car, Rearranging her dress so her boobs stuck out, and hitching it up so her legs were on full display. There was nothing classy about Tabby, maybe that's what had attracted me to her, the fact that she was easy, I never expected her to stick around. "Bruno's" I answered, Bruno's was a small bar just outside of Glenroy, it was a Wednesday night, so it was unlikely to be busy and she looked at me confused. Every time we were in the car Tabby had a habit of rubbing her hands on my legs, she wouldn't sing and rap along to lil'wayne like Isla, most of the car journeys were just silent. It was only a five minute drive but with Tabby, it was five minutes too long. I wracked my brains trying to think about what was so important I needed to leave everyone behind, was it something to do with Beau and Shay? Was it something Benji had planned to get me away from the house? I couldn't think straight and Tabby rubbing my leg didn't help, I swerved the car and almost hit a tree on the side of the road. I shook my head and parked up outside Bruno's.
